I've been working on a new written Django tutorial. Releasing it tomorrow. Definitely will be the longest, most comprehensive written tutorial I've ever done.

@mattfreire I feel Django channels need more documentation. I've implemented such in one of my application. It sure took me a lot of time to implement. But I was glad at the end of the day it turned out well

Working on a new chat app for theindependentdev.com This is going to save me $279/mo. Instead of outsourcing chat functionality to a third party, I'm just handling it in the existing Django backend with Django Channels. Happy with the progress so far 👍

@lfreiredev Lately I've only started work at 12PM. All the time before that is to get all the daily tasks out of the way. After I wake up: 1. Coffee 2. Practice Portuguese 3. Exercise 4. Calls and meetings

@SimonHoiberg My wife and I left South Africa to move to Portugal. - safer - low taxes (for foreigners) - functioning services - clean So many improvements in quality of life.

If your country doesn't treat you in a way that aligns with your goals, you have 3 options: - Leave and find a country that does. - Become a politician and try to change it. - Suck it up or change your goals. I picked number 1. And it's been the best decision of my life 🙌

Some progress on the mentor page. Users can send a message to a mentor. On the mentor's dashboard they can start a session with users messaging them.
