Yoshi helped Mario and Luigi around the kingdom, fight Bowser Jr. and saved both of their asses twice.
Yoshi, out of any character in the movie, can just be likable and adorable. He does not need an arc, he’s not a complicated character.
He’s a cool ass dinosaur.
