@RodAVanier While Pierre is singularly unlikable and clearly not fit to run a banana stand I do think hitler would capture some of the conservative vote & strike out with liberals. the left doesn’t vote for autocrats - the right does.

$100 million is the price tag for Premier Smith's referendum. That is money that could have gone into our crumbling hospitals. Specifically when Albertans are waiting nearly THREE YEARS for an MRI. My constituents are absolutely furious about Premier Smith’s wrong priorities.

Conservatives keep blaming Carney for everything. Strange. Maybe they should blame Poilievre. We could have had Prime Minister Pierre — the greatest leader in Canadian history, apparently — if Pierre hadn’t blown a TWENTY-FIVE point lead. Now Canadians must suffer because he didn’t close the deal. Maybe Pierre likes the perks of opposition more than the responsibility of governing. No?

BREAKING: Carney blows through his deficit numbers again, says his Parliamentary Budget Officer today. He’s on track to add $23 billion more to the deficit than he projected a month ago in his spring update. No wonder Canada is the only G20 country in recession. He’s the banker who can’t budget.

Canada’s downfall was electing Liberals. Under Harper: -We had the richest middle class -The biggest corporate tax cut in history -Entrepreneurship & investment was booming -Life was affordable Now, Liberals are looking to cut benefits from the seniors that elected them

@SarahFischer__ Chill, Sarah. You know the troubles with the economy are a result of Trump. Only a dummy would blame them on Carney.

He owes us an apology. Canadians have been struggling under the weight of Carney’s economic failure for over a year while he jets around the world, eating gourmet food and taking fancy photo ops on the taxpayers’ dime. Now, he has to face the humiliation of being the ONLY G7 leader to preside over a full blown recession, despite promising Canadians he would build the “strongest economy in the G7.”

@CoryBMorgan @Albertaardvark Also, the canadian government should sanction any product coming out of at 1000% to cripple the alberta economy as punishment for leaving. Also, border off everything coming out of there. Also, no access to cpp or oas that they have paid into.

So you're saying Canada will revoke Cdn citizenship of anyone staying in Alberta at the time of separation? Cool. Now I really don't want anything at all to do with a 'country' that's vindictive enough to do or even threaten to do to it's own.
Greg Carabine@GCarabine

@Albertaardvark The Clarity Act states that negotiations leading to provincial secession could entail termination of Canadian citizenship for residents of the seceding province. laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/c-31.…

@matthewjtwigg @AndrewScheer I’m sure you thought you had that ‘gotcha!’ moment, but there was a point to my tweet to Scheer. Flew over your head. BTW, Carney is dealing with Drumph, sorry that things take time. Hard to do anything on grocery prices, when Con lobbyists allow chains to charge what they wish.

Mark Carney told Canadians he was a genius who could accomplish amazing things at unimaginable speeds. Instead, he is delivering the worst economy in the G7. When you get government out of the way, you get results fast. That’s the Conservative approach. When you keep Trudeau’s anti-development laws and try and control the market through special deals, you get delays and lost investment. That’s Carney’s plan. So far, his plan isn’t working.

@PierrePoilievre Canada is not in a recession. 2 quarters of slow growth is not a recession. With this quarter May, June, July, the economy will pick up new jobs, work all around the country, tourism. PP is trying to scare people.

Prime Minister, Pierre promised Canadians he was going to be Prime Minister. He delivered Alberta. Now he is holding emergency debates about a recession that started before Carney even had time to find the light switch in the PMO. Yes, Canada had two weak quarters. Yes, that matters. But pretending global tariffs, trade uncertainty, investment weakness, and years of productivity problems magically began the day Carney showed up is not economics. It’s Pierre with a microphone. And the “fastest-growing economy in the G7” line? The IMF was still projecting Canada to be the second-fastest-growing G7 economy in 2026 and 2027, behind only the U.S. But sure. Emergency debate. Maybe this time Pierre can finally explain how losing a 25-point lead was also Carney’s fault.
