NEWS: Rivian says progress on the manufacturing launch of the R2 remains on track with the first customer deliveries expected in the second quarter of 2026 (expected starting price of ~$45,000). "The new 1.1 million square foot expansion in Normal is complete and factory equipment is commissioned. As a result, in mid-January we drove the first R2 manufacturing validation builds off the general assembly line."

Cybertruck review in USA Today: "The Cybertruck met or exceeded its range expectations. I didn’t get into how much fun it was to drive a Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast on a road trip, especially with FSD (Supervised) enabled for most of the drive, but I had a blast. Many people stopped to talk about the blackout-wrapped Cyberbeast during charging sessions. The onboard sensory cameras even recorded a few people checking it out, taking pictures of it, touching it and even dancing next to it. I would jump (or dance?) at the chance to take a road trip in a @Tesla Cybertruck again."

Of all that it lacks, the interior 120VAC outlet is the one that troubles me most. In this day and age, every car should have a built-in 120VAC interior outlet, not just EVs. Sadly, almost none do. For me, this ranks right up there with cupholders, which sadly this trim also deleted from the rear seats.
