@yay_yee I really liked the back 3 with Shaffelburg as a wingback. The problem is with Bouanga back that takes one of the midfielders off which I don't think works.

My thought is that LAFC's graphic shows a 3-4-3 that really looks like an interchangeable 5-3-2 / 5-2-3.
We didn't line up like that versus Minnesota by accident.

@Rollingoffside Good at pressing. Really good at getting out of tight spaces on the dribble. Inconsistent passing. Terrible shooting. Put it all together and you have a serviceable MLS starting midfielder. If he was more well rounded he'd be in the Bundesliga.

@Erik_Hultstrom I genuinely want to see Ebobisse flanked by Son and Bouanga at some point. I'm not necessarily convinced but I think there's a chance that putting a true center forward between the two of them really unleashes the attack

@celsoliveira_ It really made little sense not to rotate against San Jose considering the schedule. Now they are in a bind. They looked tired Saturday and now you have two matches before Toluca in a week. The only real option is a mixed lineup in both matches.

LAFC will be hosting Toluca at home in the 1st leg. After humiliating Galaxy 7-2, Toluca top the table on points. Galaxy really didn’t belong in this tournament.
That means Bouanga and Segura will not be playing at home at BMO. But will be available for the match in Mexico.
