@malstar79 Back in the 90s, Cool Britannia, Euro 96 etc when the St George’s flag was not considered racist, there was not really a clamour to celebrate St George’s day even then. Just never been a thing

@malstar79 That’s a separate point IMO, and something that people are scared of doing as they don’t want to be seen as racist. The rise of Paddy’s day IMO has been due to popular culture and the association through marketing that it’s the day to hit the pub and party.

Why does hardly anybody celebrate St. George’s Day? My take is most folks don’t want to be seen as supporting the racists who have polluted the flag. We take that risk during a World Cup and a Euros but not without that focal point. Terrible when you can’t celebrate your country.

if they keep this bs up there will be 50k intl fans each game day who just take a regular train to Rutherford and WALK the 1h to the MetLife Stadium. I know walking is an unfamiliar concept for most Americans, but it is a thing in the rest of the world.

Morishita again was excellent, but how good was Alebiosu?! Some performance. 13 players out is killing us but the signs are good. Baradji took a few knocks but was very good in the first half and played a big part in the goal. We played poor after he went off unfortunately

@PlayzytStyle Quite simple, the owners in 15 years have drained all life out of the club, not engaged and managed to kill a generation of fans. The only club in the 92 to have the same about of fans now as we did in the 80s (everyone has more), that is purely due to the Venkys

Same question as the home game, Blackburn are you protesting your owners? What’s the reason for not having many match going fans anymore? I get it’s been changed.
