The #Browns have added longtime NFL executive Trent Baalke in a consultant-like capacity, a source tells @CBSSports. Was most recently general manager of the #Jaguars from 2021-24. Was also a GM with the #49ers from 2011-16.

@AdamSchefter The No. 32 pick is completely overrated anyway. The 5th-year option is a trap that forces teams to overpay mediocre players. The Seahawks are smart to dump it onto a desperate team that thinks they are drafting a star, while Schneider collects actual depth pieces

Seahawks GM John Schneider told reporters this week that, with Seattle entering this draft with only four picks, he would like to trade back from the team’s No. 32 selection in the first round to accumulate more picks. The Seahawks are hardly the only team near the end of the first round willing to move back; others are as well.
