We were sleeping on our bedding inside the tent. We woke up to find ourselves lying on our bedding in the open, with rain falling on us and on our blankets — the tent was gone. The wind tore my tent away, and now my wife, my children, and I are out in the street under the rain. We are without shelter. What is the fault of the children? Couldn’t the world provide us with caravans or strong tents to live in? I want to say a word to the whole world now, as I stand in the street with my children crying: You have no humanity… we will never forgive you...

A short while ago, due to heavy and random gunfire, a bullet pierced a tent where a family was living. Fortunately, no one was injured, but this shows the level of danger people face while living in tents. I am currently living in a partially damaged apartment that I rented for $600. I only have two days left to pay the rent, and I fear that we may end up on the street, facing the same danger that family experienced. My father is ill and cannot endure living in a tent under any circumstances.
