@fellrunningguid I’m thinking A from Clock Case Nab as the coastline seems to fit better. Working back from the 130m contour and counting down also puts CCN significantly lower than the cliff face you’re looking at. (Now my eyes hurt from trying to follow the contours round lower down! 😵‍💫)

@fellrunningguid Amazingly I’ve actually made it home in good time for once on a Thursday and used my handy map wall to double check that bearing once I’d eliminated most of those walls! (Dark peak on the left, Chiltern on the right, and Mid Herts in the middle of you were wondering!).

@fellrunningguid You were here at the and the photo looks in the direction of the blue arrow. You’ve taken a bearing on Lost Lad cairn to relocate (although I guess you didn’t really need to! 😏).

@fellrunningguid @andypagett And not dissimilar to yours! Was up there in May; took a group up to Bleaklow Head on PW, across country to the crash site, onto the trig and then back to Snake Pass. 👍🏻 An eye opener of a hike for the average young teen in several ways!

@andypagett @fellrunningguid It’s pretty boggy up there in places with some awkward peat hags here and there and horrendous busy around “Overexposed” which is worth a look unless you’re on the clock!

@andypagett @fellrunningguid Something like this. Avoid Snake Pass as it’s nasty, follow track up the Clough and then handrail up the stream before taking a bearing to the PW (and probably getting wet feet!). Endure the PW for a bit and carry straight on at Herns Clough, following the path where you can.

@fellrunningguid Been called out but essentially you’re looking over to water further away than the other options seem to be, there’s a steep drop away and another feature beyond, and I’m guessing that the fence is along the boundary. Doubt I’ll have the chance to narrow things down before 8 now.
