Reform UK Councillor Mike Broom on @StaffordshireCC has let down constituents by ditching a speed reduction plan without any consultation. It's been reported that there was a meeting on Tuesday this week with the police and local councillors to discuss the increase in crime and road safety in the village. Councillor Broom, who consistently insists that the Staffordshire Reform UK are listening... didn't turn up. Instead he spent the time posting about immigrants on his Reform UK Facebook page. The previous councillor in conjunction with current town and district councillors had been working on a scheme to introduce gates at all 4 entrances to the village (that has proven to be effective in reducing speeding) and introducing a 20mph limit. It had passed feasibility and the next stage was a public consultation. This was going to be paid for from the previous councillors Integrated Transport Block (ITB) grant. Councillor Broom has binned the scheme entirely, with no consultation whatsoever and those at the meeting were incredibly upset. Reform UK care more about posting about immigrants, than local issues.

The reality is that we need more Kaleb's and fewer Clarkson's if we really want to sort the nation's food supply conundrum.
