The most zoomed out a design system normally goes is a user journey. What if at the end of that we could see where the data went, to what team, and what happened next

I’m annoyed about design systems now. I’ve been saying this for ages, but suddenly I’m seeing traction. Everyone in your org does design of some description. Help them and you’re doing more than being good at code or Figma. You’re helping each touch point be a little better…

It’s the ‘Service design system’

@_milesy @tomskitomski @PublicDigitalHQ Had in my head that design systems are the answer to this for a while They could help an organisation pass on knowledge of how to ‘glue’ a service together But it’s still just glue The question 4 me is which should come first, write the ideal & live it or live it then pass it on?

@tomskitomski @PublicDigitalHQ The biggest challenge for many big organisations is now creating a simple overall service that makes sense to customers out of a collection of separate 'products'. Would be good to reflect that. Design systems are part of the answer, but org design much more important.

@LauraParkerUX This is bad advice if your brain doesn’t let you do this. When it’s me I’m on the stage I’m in position of power. That helps me ‘turn on the show’. However, put me in a smaller group and I shut down.
