If every @premierleague team invested just 20million each (nothing in premier league terms) then around 400 4G pitches with floodlights could be added all over the country Imagine how many more @Teamgrassroots_ matches would be getting played this weekend #grassroots #waterlogged

Nothing wrong with young players being grounded and reminded that they're still young players every now and then #Mainoo is an exceptional talent but he hasn't made it yet Reminders of that are vital We don't need another lad thinking he's completed football at 22. No rush

Isak quite clearly isn't happening anymore. What would the options be? We definitely need another striker, we probably need another left winger and could do with another cb. I would be shocked if we signed all 3, but who would be the ST options other than isak?

If you go to a game, and your team is winning 7-0, why on earth would you leave before the end? 🤯 Your team have won 7 0 Stay, applaud the players, had more than your money worth. What do you save leaving 10 mins early? 🤣🤣 ridiculous. You don't deserve to go. #MUNBAR #MUFC

Jimmy Murphy is the one of the most important men in @ManUtd history. “Telling them what Jimmy did… it’s the most important thing you can tell a young player who is representing Manchester United," Sir Alex Ferguson told me for my 2018 biography of Jimmy. Learn the Jimmy Murphy story here 🧵

The interview by @GaryLineker and @alanshearer afterward was completely bang out of order 10 mins after winning his second trophy in his second season they're asking him if he's getting the sack Poor journalism and a real cheap shot Shameful on their part #eriktenhagIN #FACUP24

While everyone have talked about how Ineos must focus on getting MUFC’s “insane wage bill” under control — after almost all clubs have filed their 22/23 accounts — the Utd wage bill appears to have fallen down to 4th overall in the PL (including Sancho, Greenwood, Donny and co not even at the club): Man City £422.9m Liverpool £373m Chelsea £340m* (not confirmed) Man Utd £331m This is not surprising, since all MUFC’s rivals have spent — significantly more — on their squads since ETH came in, except Liverpool who overall is slightly behind. According to UEFA, United has not only spent less than most rivals, the wage bill — for the player squad — was reduced with no less than a staggering 88m record between 21/22 to 22/23: As per Swiss Ramble, our wages to turnover is all of a sudden tied 2nd LOWEST in the league with 51%: But wait — I thought Utd had spent a lot under ETH? It shouldn’t come as a surprise. Since the last season before ETH — the club has disposed of Pogba, Ronaldo, DDG, Cavani, Fred, Bailly, Matic, Pereira, Telles, Garner, Juan Mata, Lindgard, Elanga and Henderson (14 players) — and only signed 8 players of which Rasmus, Onana, Evans and Malacia are on very low wages. Anyone that can count to ten must realize that this means that we have cut an extreme amount of costs since ETH came in. Sky and co loved to spread out-of-context numbers making it look like we spent a lot — because that gets clicks. They have — nothing — to do with reality though. Undisputable facts are that we spent less than 4 of 5 of our rivals after dumping huge parts of our squad, not to mention being forced to loan out Donny, Sancho and Greenwood. So how expensive squad has ETH used this season? If we only look at the cost of the players in the actual match day squads — I would bet that the cost of the squad ETH has had at his disposal this season ranks outside the top 7-8 in the PL. But it’s quite the task to calculate this, I haven’t done the numbers. But I mean, it speaks for itself. We have a fairly cheap squad to start with from a top 4 perspective and half of it has been injured or loaned out all season.

#TenHag showed balls today Made some big decisions and rolled the dice Easy to praise after it pays off I know but still these are the decisions that separate great managers with good ones All the subs made an impact Been a long time since #MUFC gave me feels like today Get in 💪

@adeyemipapi @_shaunirvine Most of those managers have pedigree and have majour honours on their CV Tactical and management expertise Maybe just maybe there are certain players that can't be managed and certain owners/directors that won't let managers manage The pattern is we KEEP letting managers down

Erik ten Hag still hasn't won a single big game this season... 2-0 defeat to Tottenham. 3-1 defeat to Arsenal. 3-1 defeat to Brighton. 4-3 defeat to Bayern Munich. 3-2 defeat to Galatasaray. 3-0 defeat to Manchester City. 3-0 defeat to Newcastle United. 4-3 defeat to Kopenhagen. 3-3 draw vs Galatasaray. 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United. - Even the games we have won we've either been very lucky or it's been a struggle. - You know there is problems tactically with no clear style of play and patterns of play when you have Scott McTominay and also Casemiro as our top scorers this season in the League. - I honestly don't have any idea what Erik ten Hag and his staff have those players doing in any of their training sessions the past 18 momths, all I see every week is a disjointed team who don't seem to know what to do with the ball, there are no patterns of play to create clear cut chances, it's side to side, backwards to Onana, hit and hope for the best, we don't defend or attack as a team, last night vs. Newcastle we didn't get our first corner until the 82nd minute, we only had one shot on target all game, it's simply not good enough! - After Ten Hag and his staff being at the club 18 months, just over £400M spent on players the manager asked for on top of what players he inherited, - you would expect a clear style of play going forward with clear ideas tactically and patterns of play, in transition we look like we could concede goals freely, the team is not organised and with the amount of time Erik and his staff been there and money spent on players you would not expect this to be the case, I see the players body language not just last night but in many games this season and they look like a bunch of players who either can't be bothered or they just don't believe in what the manager and staff is asking them to do. - Big problems and I don't see it improving either, it will inevitably end up only one way I'm afraid, football is a results business, nobody is immune and I don't see results coming under the current tactical project, so it either changes so the players can go out on the pitch to express and enjoy their football again or he remains stubborn and keeps up what he's been trying to implement for 18 months and failing before our very eyes, what he's trying to do is clearly not working and unless he makes changes I don't see it getting any better. I don't like the idea of sacking another manager but the current set up tactically and what he is trying to get the players to do is clearly not working, hasn't all season if you look at who plays and how they play as a team and as individuals on and off the ball, so the manager and his staff need to go back to the drawing board in my opinion, tactical approach has to change to get the best out of the players as the current system and approach the manager trying to implement isn't working and the players are clearly not on board with it, actions speak louder than words! #MUFC

18 months in charge - £400M+ spent on players, still no clear footballing identity, no style of play, the team doesn't defend or attack as a team. Big problems! #MUFC

@mattyamufc @FA @premierleague you know that’s because Covid pandemic happened & because CFAs weren’t getting the uptake on courses/moved with the times to make learning accessible from home to save costs of travel/time off etc & because courses couldn’t clash with weekend fixtures?..

Spend 100's of millions in the January transfer window. Which genius thought this was a good idea? @Teamgrassroots_ is already hammered to the bone financially in all aspects but still, they want more. All county FA's need to sort this out. It's an absolute disgrace. @GNev2 2/2
