@Polish_Poppy_24 @DD_Geopolitics I agree, it’s not something I like. Do I get what it represents to the people in their current fight for independence, I do. Just wish it could’ve been a different movement

@mattywop89 @DD_Geopolitics My grandparents eye-witnessed the atrocities of the Ukrainian butchers committed on Polish men, women and children. Their bestiality was unrivaled.

🇺🇦🇵🇱 Zelensky took a swipe at Polish President Karol Nawrocki, opening with "Karol, that's his name, right?" as if he isn't sure, before lecturing Poland that it "doesn't have a monarchy, it has a democracy." Rich coming from a man who hasn't held an election since his own term expired in 2024 and is still calling himself president. Context he'd rather skip: Nawrocki stripped him of the Order of the White Eagle after Zelensky named a Ukrainian special forces unit after the UPA, the group responsible for the genocide of roughly 100,000 Polish civilians in Volhynia. Nawrocki's words: Zelensky "has proven that Ukraine, in glorifying the bandits and murderers of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, is not ready to be part of the European family."

The dispute between Nawrocki and Zelensky continues: “The President of Ukraine is mistaken” Polish President said that the disagreement between Warsaw and Kyiv concerns historical memory, not Poland’s domestic politics. According to him, Poles remember the crimes committed by Ukrainian nationalists and are not prepared to accept the glorification of the Bandera movement. “All Poles know and understand how much harm Ukrainian nationalists caused to the Polish people,” Nawrocki said.
NEXTA@nexta_tv

❕ Zelenskyy has accused Polish President Nawrocki of fueling anti-Ukrainian sentiment for domestic political gain “He is stoking antagonism and hatred toward Ukrainians. This is exactly what Orbán has been doing. It’s a bad path, and in my opinion, it will end badly,” the Ukrainian president said. The dispute centers on the Order of the White Eagle, Poland’s highest state decoration, which was awarded to Zelenskyy by then-President Andrzej Duda in 2023 for strengthening Polish-Ukrainian relations and cooperation during the war. After Zelenskyy granted a Ukrainian military unit a name associated with the UPA, President Nawrocki demanded that the award be returned. In response, Zelenskyy said Ukraine was ready to send the order back, while stressing that it had been awarded not to him personally, but to the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian armed forces. According to Zelenskyy, the conflict is primarily driven by domestic Polish politics. He believes Nawrocki has already begun a political campaign aimed at securing power for his party and defeating Donald Tusk. “We have nothing to do with this. It is their internal political struggle,” Zelenskyy said. 🤔 What do you think — who is right in this dispute: Zelenskyy or Nawrocki?

Another Ukrainian who sounds like a Russian asset who is declaring that Ukraine will become a biggest enemy of Poland🇵🇱💥🇺🇦 Where those folks are coming from? I am still anti-Russia and absolutely pro-Ukraine, but people like this definitely helping Russia to divide us. I understand the frustration with Polish nationalists and Nawrocki, but those damn folks from Ukraine are the same. We have serious problem here.

@mattywop89 @DD_Geopolitics Sooner or later Ukraine will have to hold a serious discussion about this. Croatia had to condemn the Ustasha, otherwise they wouldn't be able to join the EU. Praising the Ustasha would make Croatia's neighbours freak out, like Slovenia who already was in the EU.

Imagine Ukraine in five years if the war does not end: ▪️Zelenskyy will have been in power for 12 years. ▪️The population will have shrunk to around 20 million, half of them pensioners. ▪️Russia will have seized the Donbas, while Ukrainian forces are still fighting to hold Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. ▪️The average monthly pension will be just $100. ▪️In schools, children will assemble drones during vocational classes. ▪️Most families will be fatherless, and boys will also be sent abroad to avoid conscription. ▪️Ukrainians will no longer be a competitive nation: the education system is outdated, and a third of children have no access to proper schooling. ▪️GDP debt - 150% up from 104% now. ▪️Corruption and loyalty to the president will have become the backbone of the economy. ▪️Foreign investment will be virtually nonexistent — close to statistical error. ▪️Almost none of the refugees will plan to return.

War criminal and murderer Putin put flowers on symbolic signs for Kyiv and Odesa - cities that Russia launches regular massive strikes on. (Today, Russia commemorates the start of the Great Patriotic War - the USSR's version of WWII. In Ukraine, it's a day of mourning and remembrance. In Russia, it's more about "we can repeat" and "We won that war!")

@JesusChristonX3 @TacoHerder @DD_Geopolitics Russia has had no qualms about killing and massacring civilians. I just want to check in to your origin reply that was in response to elections. I might of misunderstood it, were you inferring/hinting that elections could be held

@mattywop89 @TacoHerder @DD_Geopolitics "Civilian harm hasn’t been kept minimal. Across Ukraine there’ve been strikes on cities, homes, and infrastructure like power grids. The civilian impact has been widespread nationwide, not limited or low" Wrong. Even the power grid it was the sub stations Russia attacks.

Ukraine is affected nationwide. The east is the frontline, central Ukraine, including Kyiv has been repeatedly hit by missile and drone strikes, and the west has also seen attacks on cities like Lviv and infrastructure targets. Across the country there are air raid alerts, power grid strikes, displacement, and full wartime mobilization under martial law Civilian harm hasn’t been kept minimal. Across Ukraine there’ve been strikes on cities, homes, and infrastructure like power grids. The civilian impact has been widespread nationwide, not limited or low So no it’s not possible to hold elections

@mattywop89 @TacoHerder @DD_Geopolitics Mostly due to logistics coming from Europe to western Ukraine but it is miniscule. Russia, detrimental to its own military objectives to keep civilian costs low as possible has been limiting the fighting largely to regions of the East. West has been largely unaffected.

I try so hard to be balanced with these right wingers. As you know, much of this is about more than UPA. Everything should be acknowledged and worked through. Unfortunately many of them just resort to being cry bullies. It’s cutting off your noise to spite your face type of situation

With all due respect and acknowledgement of atrocities commited and mass slaughter of the Polish (who were occupiers by the way) by UPA, but calling it unprecedented in WWII is nuts. You genuinely lost the plot and have drowned in the nationalistic victimhood culture delusion.

@CanadianKobzar @Skalinskalin Do not compare AK and UPA - nothing comes close to UPA organized and planned genocide of Polish civilians. Unprecedented in WWII.

Poles want to tell Ukrainians how to name our streets and military units. Curiously, they don't seem to have the same demands for the United States, where OUN and UPA memorials exist, for Canada, where a monument to Roman Shukhevych has stood for more than 50 years, or for the Netherlands, where Yevhen Konovalets' grave has been a place of remembrance for decades. Wonder why. 😊

@mattywop89 @Peter90Marco @SaltasticTakes @ZelenskyyUa You do you think you are to tell anyone what they are "allowed"? Zelensky glorifies Nazism while telling the rest of Europe that his people are dying to save them from Russia 😅😂🤣It's a 3 card trick where this clown walks away with all the loot. His days are numbered!

Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський
We and the Poles cannot be anything but partners and friends because we are neighbors. Hatred within society will only boost certain political ratings. This is a political struggle that could end in very dangerous escalation. Political dividends must not be gained from hatred. We are defending Poland and Europe right now. Our warriors are dying. Our servicemembers choose a heroic name for their unit themselves, and as President and Supreme Commander-in-Chief, I must support them. Karol said, “You must revoke the decree.” Beyond these historical issues, which, by the way, we discuss openly, there must also be respect for the present, for our army, and for the future. Without Ukraine, no one will be able to defend Poland. It is simply impossible. If there is no Ukraine, there will be no secure Poland either. From an interview for the United News telethon. (5/5)

Comparing the two is morally loaded and ludicrous, esp for a country under brutal invasion looking to rally behind an independence movement. You’re safe at home. I respect and love polish people. Trust I wish it was different, but this is the fucked up reality of war sometimes. This isn’t unique to Ukraine and won’t be in the future. From North America to Asia
