Striving to string birdies before the potential rains @GolfVNGC.
Tough setup at OSU 🥵 Fairways & greens all day...but it’s about more than that this week. Awesome to be playing an event that raises so much money for kids in need of medical care! nchcgolf @kornferrytour… instagram.com/p/CEFsscfHJNX/…

@scottfawcett Aim at the far bunker there and it’s a tiny fade with the driver. All day you leave it short of that back left flag. Tiger hit middle of the green...Normally a pin high miss right like Phil would end up in the hazard staring at double #medalist#TheMatch
@the_fried_egg 3 is a very underrated hole. Tee shot sets you up to hit it down the right which gives a worse angle. You have to hit a cut or you’ll never hold that green. Everything runs away left of the green where it’s all into the grain and the bunker is a much tougher up&down #Medalist
The 3rd's main feature is a tiny green. With little topographical interest, many features at Medalist are small (greens & bunkers). Unlike Seminole with knolls and ridges to set bunkers into, this is a small scale course. Again notice the angle of the green impacting the layup.
2 is a cool hole at Medalist. A long par 4 that forces less than driver off the tee. Playing up the right is preferred because of the lengthy (200+) approach shot to todays back left pin. Neat how the simple angle of the small, narrow green is used to create that advantage.
