Ahmed Sanussi is one of the bravest Libyan journalists I know. He has been reporting on economic issues and corruption for years. On 11 July he was kidnapped in Tripoli, days after he posted a video in which he revealed that a minister & security apparatus were after him for some leaked documents in his possession. These “kidnappings” (which generally end up being unlawful detentions) need to stop. Ahmed should be allowed to return to his family, or at the very least be handed over to the general prosecutor. #freeahmedsanussi #Libya

Curiose coincidenze. Nel giugno del 2023, Bjørnar Moxnes, il leader norvegese del partito di sinistra Red party fu sorpreso dalle telecamere della video sorveglianza del duty free dell’aeroporto di Oslo mentre rubava. Si era messo in tasca un paio di occhiali da sole Hugo Boss da 100 euro circa. Inizialmente ha detto che era stato solo distratto, ma il filmato, diventato virale nel paese, lo ha smentito. Moxnes, 41 anni, era da 11 anni leader del suo partito e in seguito a questa vicenda si è dimesso dalla carica interna al partito. Non gli è stato invece possibile dimettersi da deputato perché le leggi norvegesi non consentono le dimissioni durante il mandato.
