Who’s gonna die in the final episodes of The Boys? My prediction
SURVIVING
A Soldier Boy solo series would be way less interesting if we already knew he dies. If the show succeeds, they’ll probably move seasons 2 or 3 into the future, after The Boys timeline.
Hughie & Starlight - they’ll get a happy ending. Boring.
Ryan - boring character tbh, but they’re not killing a kid.
Ashley - she’s too fun to kill off.
The Deep - too pathetic to die. Also killing every single member of The Seven would be kinda lame.
MM - probably reunites with his family. Predictable.

I finally figured out what bugs me about Nolan The Odyssey’s trailer: the sheer number of stars packed into every frame. It feels like watching some Hollywood all-star comedy like Movie 43. When Matt Damon says his son is Tom Holland, it completely breaks the immersion. I’m sure that over the course of a 2-hour movie we’ll buy into the characters, but in a 2-minute trailer it’s much harder to pull off. This is the first Christopher Nolan trailer that actually made me uncomfortable watching it. The whole time you’re just waiting for Timothée Chalamet and Sydney Sweeney to pop up in the next shot.

MrBeast just dropped a video where he saves 1,000 animals. At the very start he saves a dying lioness, and 3 more lions throughout the video. Needless to say, by the end of the video Beast saved approximately minus 5,000 animals. Because a lion, living 20 years and eating once every 5 days, consumes ~1,500 animals in its lifetime. And there were 4 of them. He could have just titled the video "saving 6,000 animals" and spent the whole time beating these 4 lions to death with a stick. :D:D:D

Apple, as always, thought with its head and not with its ass. Closed, the iPhone Fold is a small smartphone, even smaller and more convenient than your regular phone. Open, it's a mini tablet with the RIGHT aspect ratio that actually slaps for videos and games. Apple is at the top of the food chain, and the rest of the industry is on its knees, scrambling to ship "real" foldables by 2027 - in the exact form factor Apple just taught them. 2\2

Thank god Apple's about to drop the iPhone Fold and finally show these clowns how grown-ups make foldables. The Samsung Fold and every other fold out there are 2 garbage devices crammed into one. And no, I'm not talking about the crease. Open - it's a weird square-screen tablet that's ass for gaming and videos. Closed - it's an obnoxiously thick brick that's a pain to actually use. 1\2

@maximaxme Musk is proving you wrong every day. And has been for years. We wouldn't be here today without the private sector. NASA atrophied precisely because of its massive bureaucracy and politics over excellence and mission.

@ElijahHaaronX @elonmusk Do you think the first 1000 Martians will have market relations with each other?

@elonmusk 🤨 I guess he hasn’t heard of SpaceX.

First 100-150 years of space colonization will be basically communist/socialist by default. Insane costs, shared risk, limited resources - you cant run that on pure free market vibes. Its all centralized planning and collective survival. Prove me wrong.

@DanielRPK These posters look like YouTube thumbnails with that fake, overcooked lighting. You’ve probably seen the same vibe on kids’ channel thumbnails.
Posters don’t have to be realistic — but the lighting should be.

@MyTimeToShineH That inner backbone? I just don’t see it yet. Hope it shows up.

@MyTimeToShineH MAIN reason Holland’s Spider-Man feels weak: he’s not independent. He’s tied to the Avengers — Stark, Strange, Fury — all the time. Spider-Man is supposed to be on his own, dealing with problems nobody else will handle. He could walk away, but his conscience won’t let him.

I came to a realization - I HATE the MCU Spider-Man films. Here's why:
To me, they strip away everything I love about the character.
Spider-Man has one of the greatest origins in comics, yet they removed Uncle Ben. He has one of the best supporting casts, yet most of them were replaced with… Ned. I have nothing against Zendaya, but why make her "MJ" without actually making her Mary Jane Watson? She has a completely different personality, too. I want the "Admit it, Tiger… you just hit the jackpot" version of MJ.
The MCU also took away Spider-Man’s independence and made him far too reliant on Iron Man.
This trilogy also made me realize something else: Spider-Man isn’t at his most interesting in high school - or maybe I should say, he only works in high school when it’s a TV format, like The Spectacular Spider-Man. In movies they just don’t utilize that setting well. The most compelling version of Spider-Man on film is when he’s a young adult.
As for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, he’s easily my least favorite of the three live-action versions. He lacks the depth of Tobey Maguire and the charisma and humor of Andrew Garfield. Instead he often comes off as an overly whiny, immature kid.
And that’s not even getting into the bland visuals, underwhelming action scenes and lack of any epic swinging sequences.
The one redeeming quality of this trilogy is the villains. They’ve consistently been the strongest part of the "Home" films.
I really hope Brand New Day changes my mind, but bringing back Ned already feels like a bad sign. We’ll see.

@MyTimeToShineH So every time Marvel hit a crossroads, they’d go in any direction… as long as it wasn’t the one Sony already took.
The problem is — Sony’s movies actually did a solid job developing Spider-Man as a character.
Personally tho, my peak Spider-Man is still the 90s animated series.
English

@MyTimeToShineH I think a lot of the issues came from Marvel trying too hard not to repeat what came before. They wanted their own unique Spider-Man, because Garfield basically explored the same lane as Maguire — just with extra mystery around Uncle Ben.
