Today’s first “Honorable” mention is from Trainer Maxines22 (@maxines2210) in Brazil 🇧🇷! This postcard showcases a large-scale mural in São Paulo. The artwork features the faces of two legendary Brazilian cultural figures: the musician and author Chico Buarque (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chico_Bua…) and the writer and playwright Ariano Suassuna (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ariano_Su…). It was originally painted on the facade of the Fnac bookstore building in the Pinheiros neighborhood of São Paulo. Reports indicate that this specific mural was erased around 2021 after the bookstore closed and the building was repurposed into a hospital. 😢 The piece was created by the renowned Brazilian street artist Eduardo Kobra (eduardokobra.com). The mural is characteristic of Kobra's signature "kaleidoscope" style, which uses vibrant colors and bold geometric patterns—especially triangles—to bring historical figures to life. Eduardo Kobra is one of the world's most famous muralists, holding several Guinness World Records for the largest graffiti works in the world, including the "Etnias" mural in Rio de Janeiro.
