9 year anniversary at GitLab is worth a tweet. If someone told me that I would stay in one place for so long, not be in the same physical place for longer than a year, and still stay find the work interesting, I would have told them to check what they are drinking.

@ismailtlem @gitlab I've been following tons of discussions and issues on their projects, and whenever I comr across something interesting (comment, MR...) I check the author's profile. For example because of gitlab issues I got to know @ayufan, who is a bright SWE and has a brilliant blog.

I just love how @gitlab is being developed 🧡🧡 I recognize @gitlab's developers by their profile pictures and names. I know who are the seniors an juniors. To the point that I feel like I work there. This how openly and awesomely is @gitlab being developed.

@gitlab That would be @maxlazio. The feeling of psychological safety I got when he was my manager helped me immensely while I was taking baby steps as a junior engineer. His feedback is always compassionate and direct-without-any-bullshit. Also he always lends his ears for me to vent 😀
