This is a big deal - @UAlberta first in Canada! SO cool. It’s not just because it sounds sci-fi. “Robot” surgery requires a VERY skilled human at the controls, but gives great 3D visualization, allows amazing precision and dexterity, smaller incisions- and faster recovery.

@wandering_gu We have started TAP blocks before lap donor nephrectomies. Anecdotally has dramatically reduced pain and opioid use. Currently looking to review this practice. We re also putting TAP catheters in KTx recips - HUGE drop in narcotic use. No PCAs anymore

Any urologists out there doing their own TAP block at the time of RP (or other minimally invasive surgery)?
