This is not our war, but it is now pushing up bills for families and businesses. That’s why keeping costs down is my number one priority – and our economic plan has put us in a stronger position to face this crisis.

@MelJStride They are all so self serving. Most MPs’ are the same.

Labour’s net zero obsession is pushing up the cost of living and crippling our economy. Rachel Reeves had no answers today in Parliament. We need urgent action, not dither and delay. Scrap the carbon tax, drill the North Sea and start backing Britain.

@LNallalingham Good question. Sadly I think MPs are in it for themselves and not bothered about what’s best for the country or people.

🚨 Will Labour MPs do the right thing? The only way Starmer goes, is if his own MPs turn on him. But if they do? They risk triggering an election and losing their seats. So what matters more? Their jobs… or the country?

Do you believe Keir Starmer is being open, honest, and transparent about the appointment of Peter Mandelson? A simple yes or no ...

As we near the end of the agreed 2 week ceasefire, this is a critical diplomatic moment. For the last 6 days I’ve travelled through 5 countries, speaking to more than a dozen foreign ministers and counterparts, to maintain international pressure on opening the Strait of Hormuz.

In D.C. I have been working with partners to support safe passage for energy supplies through the Strait of Hormuz, to protect households and businesses from rising costs. It is good news that it has been reopened, now we must see a permanent ceasefire and stability returned.
Keir Starmer@Keir_Starmer

It’s good news that the Strait of Hormuz has now reopened. This must be a long lasting and workable solution, without tolls or restrictions on routes. Today we announced our joint plan with France and other international partners to protect freedom of navigation. We need to see a return to peace and stability, and a permanent ceasefire.
