Korea has a housing system that makes foreigners' brains stop working. It's called 전세 (jeon-se). You give the landlord a massive deposit — like ₩200,000,000 to ₩300,000,000. Then you pay ZERO rent. Every month. For 2 years. (You still pay utilities and maintenance fees — but zero rent.) When you move out? You get the ENTIRE deposit back. "Wait. So you just... live there for free?" Basically, yes. The landlord invests your deposit and keeps the returns. "And you get ALL of it back?"

Hoarding physical gold and silver is completely flawed. Sounds good in theory. And truly is great, until a crisis arrives. The whole purpose of physical metals are to have a trustless, fixed supply, store of wealth outside of the system. But, the times when this becomes incredibly important are the times when there are huge geopolitical or economic stresses. In these scenarios there is mass panic. Now you have a problem. If you need to escape; 1. You cant transport chunks of heavy metal very easily. 2. You are then forced to dump at gold merchants but can't sell at market value since everyone else is also trying to sell and now you have to take a huge haircut on price. What are you going to do now? You are forced to take a 20% hit on market price and then you are stuck with cash to transport, or fiat in the bank of a country you may not trust. You could just buy an ETF or tokenized gold but then have to trust a third party which you can't safely do in those moments. Not so great. Unfortunately most don't realise this until it's too late. If only there existed a superior solution...

One of the worst things about stablecoins is slippage in value when transferring between tokens. I barely use them anymore due to this uncertainty and accounting nightmare. Banks are a mess to deal with but at least retain value when transferring. Stablecoins are not crypto.

Breaking my heart watching all these Europeans landing back in Europe on “rescue flights”. Literally 40-60 flights a day are in/out from Dubai now. And then crying with fear as soon as Euro propaganda cameras are on them. Less than 12 hours prior we’re on the beach at the paid for hotel. After how well the Government here has treated people and kept people safe - I find it treacherous. I don’t know how else to say it - they’re liars. I have been getting worried calls from people consuming Western propaganda and I try to tell them “I’m actually HERE and that’s not what is going on.” Their ears are closed to on the ground facts. The missiles/drones have been halving daily. UAE and French jets are patrolling the skies knocking out threats. I’ve heard nothing in Dubai today. These European and American attention seekers have truly been disappointing from the videos I’ve seen. If the people that envy/hate the UAE focused the same attention on our countries - we could also have the safety and benefits Dubai offers. 🇦🇪❤️☝🏽

Expats pay the UAE government, via taxes and fees. There are many, believe it or not. The UAE government are shooting down drones and missiles and protecting the people - a refreshing feeling having a gov who actually care. The only people asking for help from the UK gov are UK residents on holiday. The UK gov and it's sausage fingered PM can do, and have done absolutely nothing of value for anyone else. All this rhetoric does is add more reasons why they never want to return to the UK. A country who repeatedly shows how little they care for it's citizens.
