How many times did you change your allocation strategy in your 401k before hitting 6 or 7 figures? Likely never. You put in 2 to 5% or whatever amount that you could afford or justify and if you stuck with it long enough it worked out. That’s what I do with selling options in a nutshell. Through it all, I sell puts and calls on stocks I’d like to own. I roll down to prices I’d like to pay. Don’t over complicate things. You’re just creating unnecessary drama and anxiety.

Soooooo what does everyone do at a “no kings” rally anyway? How do people have so much time on their hands? Is it like a concert? Does someone talk? Are there performances? Do people just gather and complain? Should I mark myself safe? People are either bored, concerned or crazy. What’s going on world?

My brokerage account is down $27k YTD. More if you count 401k, HSA, etc But I’m not worried at all. I’ll continue buying as I always do. Thinking long term is how you win, despite short term volatility.

The most passive income I know about comes from index mutual funds. Literally 30 seconds to buy them, nearly zero research needed, and no need to monitor or maintain them for decades afterward. Certainly the "default" method of building wealth (get a great job, save 20% of gross for retirement, invest it in a small handful of index funds across various asset classes, and stick with it for 2 or 3 decades) works and works well. No matter how you invest in real estate (well, VNQ may be an exception) it's going to take more work than that AND involve more risk than that. Are you using real estate to help build your wealth? How?

My buddy’s son lost his job with Oracle about a year ago. Still can’t find a job. He has about $200k saved up. Told him he better revisit his “uncles” videos and get his ass to wheeling.
