But don’t forget how many of us Americans- including many US military veterans (I never served in the US before I did in Ukraine, but many of my brothers in arms did)- there have been and still are fighting and bleeding and dying on the ground in Ukraine to do what we see as protecting the West, our European allies, democracy, and freedom, while preventing the eventuality of a larger war that will inevitably include a continuously expanding imperialist Russia and countless dead American servicemen once we’re FORCED to intervene directly.
