@Tim_Denning why does it always have to be an ultimatum
just travel between two places & you got the benefits of both

Living in Bali sounds incredible.
But if your family is in New York, then you're stuck in a foreign country without your loved ones.
That sounds like a huge tragedy to a rational person.
Family is more important than a temporary paradise that likely ends in extreme loneliness.
Be careful what you optimize for. You might be choosing unhappiness.

@Sebastianb0527 check & verify your retention before you rack up MRR at a 0.7 NCROAS

offer + audience
if you‘re selling trend-based fashion - your creative load is usually higher
if you‘re selling a problem-solver with a mini-VSL > advertorial funnel, you might spend more time on producing a couple quality bangers instead of focussing on masses
quality will always be the first sacrifice if you increase creative testing load
everyone can pump out hundreds of shitty ads with AI rn - so quality is still the main point that differentiates you from the test

@sethfowIer Do you like 0% dividend tax?
English

@sethfowIer been living there for the past 5 years
if you prefer it calm, its the best spot
best if you travel a lot
English

@suge_ecom ironically, the biggest projects I ran were the ones where I had 100% ownership too
thought I needed a biz partner for ecom brands, but its just an excuse to give away ownership & responsibility
English

the most braindead thing is throwing thousands of $$$ in custom stock for a product that doesn‘t even have a proof of concept
there‘s literally no upside
you can launch any imaginary product with AI in a few days
test it as a pre-sale or just refund after
& start your production once enough orders piled up
control your risk
English

@iiiitsandrea eating right before sleep = decrease in sleep performance
counterproductive product that tries to work against basic biological principles
English

@omooretweets yeah lets just waste a couple months to test a new idea instead of getting a valid reply in days

In consumer, paid ads generally = lack of true product market fit
I have yet to see a generational startup with largely paid ad-driven growth…
andrew chen@andrewchen
lots of AI cos starting to experiment with paid marketing so here’s my take: Paid acquisition is a tax on your product's defensibility. the moment you can't out-spend the incumbents and competitors, you die. build channels that get cheaper as you grow or you're just renting your growth
English

analyzing random business models is probably one of the best ways to get better at making money because it forces you to see what’s actually happening behind the scenes
so many “boring” businesses are one good positioning angle + better logistics + better distribution away from printing
most people ignore them because they keep looking for some crazy genius untapped idea instead of taking a simple business, making it look better and selling it harder than the last guy
English

@Sebastianb0527 you can even cut the graphic designer + 1x CS rep
would even argue to cut the creative strategist if you‘re strong at scripting ads by yourself
English

@suge_ecom which platform are you looking for?
in case its Meta - try Upwork or Indeed
English
Max Wobst retweetledi

spending millions on Meta gave me an unfair advantage on Google
95% of Google media buyers only know:
→ search
→ PMax
→ Shopping
they have no idea how to run Demand Gen
no video strategy
no static ads
no creative testing
I came from Meta where that's all you do
so I run Google like single-platform media buyers can't
that's the edge
not some fancy campaign setup
English

@HenryCrochemore they‘re buying everything from aliexpress directly or have russian equivalents like Wildberries or Ozon. super hard to advertise there from the outside as well
