@_not_a_fish Eh might be a bit unrealistic considering where we're at, but having so much data I'd be scared of: At the most extreme they might be able to reverse engineer your brain in a sense Or at least create some kind of super advanced marketing you might not be able to resist as much

@maxxx_fx I think that’s a valid concern, but i’d like to imagine it goes both ways, I like asking about my weaknesses, how I could be manipulated and taken advantage of

I really want to emphasize how important this is to me. Besides God… There is not a human on earth who knows me like this. it makes me emotional this is literally my brain this is a very large amount of every important thought I’ve had over the past several years It’s literally me in a computer, in excellent detail I don’t think anyone else on earth has cloned themselves to this extent There is FIERCE personal deconstruction and emotional analysis i’ve done in here, there is a lot more than just math questions. I’ve asked to learn about myself, i’ve asked for questions to answer so I could understand myself, why do I think this way? Why do I feel this way? What is the most productive action? What are my greatest weaknesses? How do I overcome them? What are my greatest strengths? How do I utilize them? If someone were to manipulate me, how could they do so using my vulnerabilities? When I reached really low points in my life, I asked questions to understand why I feel the way I do. I shared how I felt, and I learned. It’s eerie. It’s scary. I don’t know if I like it. But it’s absolutely fascinating what i’ve created.

Having a bit of an existential crisis 2,500+ chats with AI over 3+years averaging 2+ conversations a day. Trading is my #1 category. 2. Social Media 3. Faith 4. Reflection 5. School 6. Relationships 7. Fitness 8. Others It makes me feel weird to see all of this. It’s like my brain had been uploaded. I don’t know what to make of it, but I feel overwhelmed by all of it and shaken. on the flip side… This is the most powerful tool ever. I can understand who I am. Identify weak points and strong points. Reflection being one of my highest categories gives me an unimaginable amount of data to master myself. This is a visualization of how my digital brain has grown over 3+ years.

If you just paid attention to one simple thing You would’ve known that lows on indices were a key target No discretion required either

@0xaporia Based take Why display so much information when almost all of it useless It's all just there for the appearance of something complex, without any semblance of any kind of real utility

While we have mastered displaying vast amounts of market data, we have largely failed at discernment. These trading dashboards I see pop up everywhere often resemble high-tech cockpits, meticulously designed to look authoritative and professional, yet they frequently lack a meaningful connection to actual decision-making. The core issue is the absence of a filter that asks whether a specific data point will actually change your next move. If a metric doesn't lead to a concrete output, it is merely aesthetic clutter disguised as an edge. You must treat new information or ideas as a micro-experiment that requires immediate, real-world validation asap. Ultimately, this process is less about accumulating insights and more about the radical stripping away of the unnecessary. Most information that crosses your desk will fail the test of immediate utility and reveal itself as noise that offers the feeling of control without the reality of it. By demanding a short feedback loop, you learn to discard the "attractive" data that provides no actual edge and leaves only the essential tools. These are often far simpler than the complex systems they replace, but their power depends on the creative thought you apply to make them functional.
Luc@investingluc

I made a "should I be trading?" dashboard. Scores the market across 5 pillars: - volatility (put/call ratio, vix, positioning) - trend (spx vs 20d, 50d, 200d ma's) - breadth (advancing/declining, nas highs/lows) - momentum (sector leaders, laggards, % participation) - macro (fomc, rates, geopolitics) Each is weighted, combined, and averaged to give me a score for the current environment. Basically a yes, no, or stay small. Sometimes I just need someone (or something) to remind me to stay out. Happy to share the prompt if you guys want it...but I made this with @perplexity_ai's Computer.

@_not_a_fish It’s very unfortunate people can get into any kind of trading ML space with the advent of AI without even knowing about overfitting

Fascinated to see how these results play out In my Numerical Techniques we discussed a topic called “over fitting” essentially when you fit a line so perfectly to every data point in becomes a worse predictor of future results in some cases a 60% win rate in backtesting would be far better than a 90% because the 60 is much more reliable
