one thing trans discourse always reveals to me is that other trans people's idea of what it means to pass is very different from mine.
i saw one person say "alt fashion is about standing out and standing out is opposite to the idea of passing" and i frankly do not understand

so "to pass" means "to be seen as a cis member of your gender". that's why passing advice is cisnormative. It's baked into the concept of passing.

@SydneyDaDragon @Patreonexclusi1 i mean these stats show 1) higher rates of sexual assault towards trans women. and 2) to your point that trans men are sometimes counted as cis women, it was found that the converse (trans women being counted as cis men) was more common, so trans women would be underrepresented
