It would be an exaggeration to say so, as there is no evidence to support it; forming a notion based merely on one's own imagination and voicing it without proof is not right. If something good is happening today, it should be welcomed; if something is amiss, efforts should be made to improve it;therein lies the well-being of all: of society, the individual, the nation, and even culture.

Explainer: Beyond Stones- How India is Working to Rebuild and Shape the Future of Civilization! Rebuilding Civilization: India's Global Mission to Preserve Shared Heritage Beyond Borders, Beyond Time: How India is Restoring the World's Shared Civilizational Heritage - Dr. Mayank Chaturvedi From Prambanan to Angkor Wat, My Son to Wat Phu, and Pashupatinath to Ananda Temple, India’s living presence is evident everywhere. Today, while preserving its own history, India is forging a new cultural vision by leveraging this shared civilizational heritage as a foundation for global cooperation. Indeed, the convergence of the Archaeological Survey of India’s (ASI) expertise, the cultural vision under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and the spirit of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" (the world is one family) has established India as a trusted partner in global heritage conservation. A new chapter has now been added to this journey: during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit to Indonesia, a historic agreement was signed between the two nations for the conservation and restoration of the world-famous Prambanan Hindu temple in Yogyakarta. The ASI will spearhead this project, with a target completion date set for 2029. Prambanan: Where Indian Civilization Lives On Indonesia’s Prambanan temple stands as a living testament to the maritime and cultural expansion of Indian civilization through ancient architecture. Built in the 9th century and dedicated to Lords Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma, the temple has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. On July 8, 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at the temple and formally inaugurated the conservation work. This inauguration reaffirmed the historic bonds that culturally connected India and Southeast Asia centuries ago. A New Dimension of India’s Foreign Policy: Civilizational Diplomacy Civilizational diplomacy is assuming increasing importance in India’s foreign policy today. Its objective is to revitalize historical and cultural ties that existed long before the emergence of modern nation-states. Viewed from this perspective, Sanskrit words, tales from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, temples dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu, Indian-style sculpture and ancient architecture found in many Southeast Asian countries today stand as evidence of this shared heritage. Rather than viewing these legacies as symbols of cultural dominance, India cherishes them with the clear understanding that they represent a shared human heritage between the nations. Consequently, India has developed a collaborative approach to conservation that actively involves local governments, archaeological experts and communities, prioritizing partnership and respect for scientific perspectives. Heritage is the Capital of the Future Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated on numerous national and international platforms that India's cultural heritage belongs to all of humanity. According to him, the strength of any civilization is determined not only by its economic progress but also by its ability to remain connected to its roots. He has frequently emphasized that India's identity is shaped by its millennia-old culture, spiritual traditions and a spirit dedicated to human welfare. In a sense, this perspective of the Prime Minister is consistently reflected in messages such as "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam", "Universal Brotherhood" and the call for "Buddha, not War" for the world. Initiatives to preserve Indian cultural heritage abroad are a natural extension of this broad vision. Rebuilding Trust, Not Just Temples The significance of the conservation projects India is undertaking in various countries extends far beyond the religious realm. These initiatives foster a renewed connection between local communities and their heritage, provide fresh momentum to tourism, preserve traditional crafts and build new bridges of trust between nations. This is why India has emerged as a trusted partner in conserving shared cultural heritage in countries such as Indonesia, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, the UAE and Bahrain. From one perspective, these initiatives demonstrate India's ability to integrate its ancient cultural consciousness with modern global cooperation. An analysis of India's foreign policy over the past decade and a half reveals a clear trend: New Delhi has transformed cultural heritage into a potent instrument for shaping current and future international relations. Today, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) serves as a trusted technical partner for world heritage conservation in numerous countries. Cambodia: The Legacy of Angkor and India’s Commitment Cambodia’s Angkor Wat stands as the most magnificent example of Indian cultural influence in Southeast Asia. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, it is the world's largest religious monument and is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. For years, the Archaeological Survey of India has been collaborating on conservation efforts there. India’s role, encompassing the scientific conservation of various temple complex sections, the stabilization of damaged structures, and the preservation of traditional construction techniques, has garnered international acclaim. Similarly, India has carried out significant conservation work at Cambodia’s Ta Prohm temple. Scientific restoration was undertaken to preserve the original architecture of this temple, which dates back to the 12th and 13th centuries. India is also providing technical assistance for the conservation of the Preah Vihear Shiva temple. These projects have added civilizational depth to the relationship between India and Cambodia. Vietnam: A Revival of History at My Son The My Son temple complex, located in Vietnam's Quang Nam province, is a magnificent heritage of the Cham civilization. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, these temples were constructed between the 4th and 13th centuries. Following an agreement signed between India and Vietnam in 2014, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) completed conservation work on temple groups A, H, and K between 2017 and 2022. Costing approximately 2.25 million US dollars, the project encompassed archaeological research, documentation and the training of local experts alongside structural repairs. Today, this project exemplifies India's approach of integrating conservation efforts with knowledge sharing and capacity building. Laos: 'Vat Phou' - An Ancient City of Shiva The Vat Phou temple complex in Laos stands as further compelling evidence of the profound influence of Indian culture in Southeast Asia. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this UNESCO World Heritage Site has been undergoing conservation with Indian assistance following an agreement between India and Laos in 2007. The ASI initiated scientific conservation work at the site in 2009. The project aims to preserve the structure while maintaining the integrity of its original architectural style and cultural identity. Myanmar: Conservation of the Ananda Temple The Ananda Temple in Bagan is one of Myanmar's most significant Buddhist heritage sites, displaying a clear Indian influence in its architectural style. In 2017, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the temple to inspect the conservation work being carried out by the ASI and unveiled a commemorative plaque. This project serves as a significant example of cultural cooperation between India and Myanmar. Nepal and Sri Lanka: Shared Faith, Shared Responsibility India has provided technical assistance and expertise for the conservation of the Pashupatinath Temple in Nepal and its associated historic temple complexes. Given the centuries-old religious and cultural ties between the two nations, this collaboration reflects a shared responsibility to preserve a common heritage. Similarly, India provided assistance worth approximately 326 million Sri Lankan rupees for the renovation of the ancient Thiruketheeswaram Shiva Temple in Sri Lanka. This project utilized the technical expertise of the ASI and the Mamallapuram College of Architecture and Sculpture. From Heritage to Faith: Projects in Bangladesh, Bahrain and the UAE The reconstruction of Dhaka’s Ramna Kali Temple, which had been destroyed during the 1971 war, was made possible with India's assistance. This project went beyond the mere reconstruction of a temple; it became a symbol of respect for the shared cultural history of India and Bangladesh. Similarly, the commencement of the redevelopment of Bahrain’s nearly 200-year-old Shrinathji Temple in 2019 added a new dimension to India's cultural presence in West Asia. Subsequently, the inauguration of the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi in 2024 marked a historic moment in India-UAE relations. Built across approximately 27 acres, this traditional stone temple stands as a symbol of religious harmony, the contributions of the Indian diaspora and the friendship between the two nations. Timeline: Key Indian Heritage Conservation Projects Abroad 2011 – India’s assistance for the restoration of the Thiruketheeswaram Shiva Temple in Sri Lanka. 2014 – Initiative for technical cooperation in the conservation of the Pashupatinath Temple complex in Nepal. 2014 – Agreement between India and Vietnam for the conservation of the My Son temple complex. 2017 – Expansion of the Ananda Temple conservation project in Myanmar; visit by Prime Minister Modi. 2018 – Momentum gained for the Preah Vihear Shiva Temple conservation project in Cambodia. 2019 – Launch of the Shrinathji Temple redevelopment project in Bahrain. 2021 – Completion of the reconstruction of the historic Ramna Kali Temple in Bangladesh. 2022 – Completion of conservation work on Groups A, H, and K of the My Son temple complex in Vietnam. 2022 – Renewed momentum for cooperation on the conservation of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. 2024 – Expansion of conservation work at the Wat Phou temple in Laos. 2024 – Inauguration of the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi. 2025 – Significant progress by India in the conservation work of the Ta Prohm temple in Cambodia. 2026 – India-Indonesia agreement for the conservation and restoration of Indonesia’s Prambanan Temple: The ASI is entrusted with the project. A Cultural Bridge for the Future Viewed collectively, these projects make it evident that India is preserving cultural heritage that has long been part of Asia's shared historical memory. Through these initiatives, India has demonstrated that culture, heritage and civilization can serve as a robust foundation for international trust, cooperation, and long-term partnerships between nations. A serious analysis of India's foreign policy over the past decade clearly reveals that the country has made its cultural heritage the cornerstone of future global partnerships. This is why Yoga, Ayurveda, Buddhist and Hindu heritage, Indian languages, traditional knowledge, and the preservation of World Heritage sites have today become vital pillars of India's global identity. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Cultural Vision Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described India's cultural heritage as a shared legacy of humanity on numerous national and international platforms. During visits to the United Nations, UNESCO, the G-20, and various other nations, he has repeatedly emphasized that India's cultural message is rooted in inclusivity, peace, and human welfare. Some of his key thoughts elucidate this vision: "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is not merely a mantra, but India's philosophy of life." "India gives the world Buddha, not war." "India's heritage belongs to all of humanity, and its preservation is our collective responsibility." The commencement of worship and conservation work at the Prambanan Temple can be seen as a symbol of this broad perspective. Equally significant is the message that India views its cultural heritage as a foundation for global cooperation and shared civilization. Vision of the Ministry of Culture: From Heritage to Global Partnership The Union Ministry of Culture has consistently emphasized that India's ancient heritage is an invaluable asset to global civilization. The Ministry's various initiatives reflect a vision to share the expertise of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) internationally and to steer cooperation in a new direction through conservation projects in countries with which India shares historical and cultural ties. Furthermore, in recent years, the Ministry of Culture has highlighted that heritage conservation serves as an effective medium for strengthening cultural dialogue, tourism, local capacity building, and people-to-people ties. In this context, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat has stated on numerous occasions that India's cultural identity is rooted in its ‘Sanatan’ tradition, diversity and the spirit of global welfare. A key message in his speeches is that Indian culture is one of taking everyone along, rather than seeking to establish dominance over others. He also maintains that India's cultural self-confidence stems from its civilizational continuity and that preserving heritage is an obligation towards future generations. Similarly, RSS Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale has described Indian culture as a force that unites global humanity. In various public addresses, he has stated that India's cultural tradition is founded on the shared values of dialogue, coexistence and humanity. He regards the preservation of India's knowledge traditions, cultural memories, and historical heritage as a crucial foundation for national renaissance. A Cultural Foundation for the 'Act East' Policy India's 'Act East' Policy is often viewed through the lens of trade, connectivity, and strategic cooperation, yet it possesses a significant cultural dimension as well. India's ties with numerous Southeast Asian nations, such as Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and Myanmar, are rooted in civilizational connections spanning millennia. Traditions associated with the Ramayana, Sanskrit vocabulary, temple architecture, sculpture and religious symbols bear witness to the continuity of these relationships. Consequently, India's role in preserving the shared heritage of these nations lends a human and cultural depth to its diplomatic ties. Reflecting on the journey that began at the Prambanan Temple, one can say that it embodies an India presenting its ancient civilization, dating back thousands of years, as a positive force within the modern global order. India's active involvement at sites such as Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, My Son, Wat Phu, Ananda Temple, Pashupatinath, Ramna Kali Temple, Shrinathji Temple and Thiruketheeswaram demonstrates that its foreign policy is no longer confined to political and economic dimensions; culture, history and shared memories play an equally vital role. In this sense, India's journey of preserving Hindu temples and shared cultural heritage abroad tells a story not merely of architectural conservation, but of faith, legacy and global leadership. It reflects an India that has forged a new identity on the world stage through the strength of its cultural consciousness, an identity defined by both faith and development.

Two Modi Government Decisions Pave the Way for ₹40Lakh Crore Production in Mobile and Semiconductor Sectors Modi Government's Twin Tech Revolution: India Eyes ₹40 Lakh Crore Electronics Manufacturing Boom - Dr. Mayank Chaturvedi New Delhi: In a move to establish India as a new hub for global electronics manufacturing and the semiconductor industry, the central government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has taken two simultaneous decisions that are being hailed as game-changers for the Indian economy in the coming years. While the Union Cabinet has approved the Mobile Phone Manufacturing Scheme (MPMS) worth ₹62,500 crore, it has also given the green signal to the 'Semicon 2.0' mission worth ₹1,27,500crore, clearly signaling that India is poised to play a decisive role in the race for global technological leadership. Essentially, both these schemes aim to make the country self-reliant in areas such as design, research, patenting, chip fabrication and high-tech manufacturing. The government estimates that the mobile manufacturing scheme alone will generate production worth approximately ₹39 lakh crore over the next five years, lead to a record surge in exports and create over 60,000 direct jobs. Meanwhile, 'Semicon 2.0' is set to place India among the select group of nations that manufacture semiconductors, the most critical technology for the future digital economy. The government's new mobile phone manufacturing scheme will be operational from the 2026-27 fiscal year through 2030-31. Under this scheme, incentives ranging from 2.25 Percent to 5 Percent will be provided on eligible sales. Companies sourcing key components domestically will receive an additional 1.5 Percentincentive. Furthermore, provisions have been made to offer an additional incentive of up to 3 Percent on eligible sales to companies that develop Indian brands and invest in design and research. In this context, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has previously emphasized in his speeches that India should not merely remain a nation that assembles mobile phones; rather, the central government is continuously striving to foster innovation so that India can develop world-class Indian brands and indigenous technologies in the future. This decision is now being viewed as part of the efforts being made by the Centre in this direction. Jitendra Gupta, an industrialist associated with the small-scale sector and former National President of Laghu Udyog Bharati, notes that until a decade ago, India was an importer of mobile phones; today, it is the world's second-largest mobile manufacturer. The government's next objective is to ensure a strong Indian presence in the semiconductor sector, a critical area of global technology. The mobile manufacturing scheme and Semicon 2.0serve as two robust pillars of this long-term strategy. He stated that if these schemes are implemented in line with the set targets, India will emerge as the most trusted hub for global electronics manufacturing in the coming years. Furthermore, India is poised to stand firmly among the world's leading economies in areas such as technological innovation, chip design, patents, employment generation and exports. It is for this reason that the industry views these two decisions as historic steps that will shape India's technological future. He further added, “Our concern is ensuring that work proceeds in the right direction so that small industries can benefit from both these schemes. We hope that small industries will benefit significantly from both the Mobile Phone Manufacturing Scheme (MPMS) and Semicon 2.0- aimed at developing the semiconductor design and manufacturing ecosystem and that thousands of new jobs will be created.” A Roadmap for India's Technological Self-Reliance Renowned industrialist and National General Secretary of Laghu Udyog Bharati, Omprakash Gupta, states, "For the first time, the Modi government has formulated a policy that integrates production, design and research. This initiative not only incentivizes the industry but also serves as a roadmap for making India technologically self-reliant. It will enable Indian companies to establish their brands in the global market and create new opportunities for millions of young people." Gupta adds, "This scheme is highly beneficial for small-scale industries alongside large ones. Thousands of MSMEs, spanning sectors such as machine tools, electronic components, chemicals, packaging and engineering, will become part of this ecosystem. This will open new avenues for the growth of the country's small-scale industries and strengthen India's industrial self-reliance." He remarked, "The world is witnessing the impact of the Modi government's 'Make in India' policy today. Electronics manufacturing has grown sevenfold compared to 2014-15, while exports have recorded an elevenfold increase. India has now become the world's second-largest mobile phone manufacturer, with 99.2 percent of the mobile phones used in the country being manufactured domestically. A significant milestone was achieved when smartphones emerged as India's largest export product, surpassing traditional exports like diesel and cut diamonds." India's Policy Boosts Global Investor Confidence In this context, Gujarat-based industrialist Aniruddha Sharma says, "This achievement by India boosts the confidence of global investors. The new scheme will propel Indian companies beyond mere manufacturing and towards becoming global brands. This will lead to a substantial increase in both India's export capacity and foreign exchange earnings." Alongside mobile manufacturing, the government has accorded the highest strategic importance to the 'Semicon 2.0' initiative. A budget of ₹1,27,500 crore has been allocated for this purpose. Semicon 2.0 rests on six key pillars: chip design, machinery and material manufacturing, new fab plants, the ATMP/OSAT industry, research and development, and talent development. The government's objective is to develop the entire semiconductor value chain in India. Success of Semicon 1.0 Paves the Way for a New Leap It is noteworthy that the positive outcomes of the government's initial semiconductor mission are now becoming evident. So far, 12manufacturing projects involving investments exceeding ₹1.64lakh crore have been approved. These include silicon fabs, silicon carbide fabs, micro-LED display fabs, and nine packaging units. Companies such as Micron, Kaynes, and CG Semi have already commenced commercial production. Meanwhile, 105 startups are active in the chip design sector and approximately 68,000 students across 315 universities have received training in state-of-the-art chip design. Jitendra Gupta, an industrialist from the small-scale sector, states, "The future belongs to nations that possess both technology and supply chain capabilities. Semicon 2.0 will transform India from a mere importer of chips into a vital hub of the global supply chain. This will drive significant changes across investment, employment and exports." Benefits Across Sectors: From National Security to AI Mitesh Lokwani, Managing Director of HLBS Tech Pvt. Ltd., believes that semiconductors are not limited to the mobile industry alone. Chips play a crucial role in almost every modern sector, including defense, space, automotive, telecommunications, artificial intelligence (AI), drones, smart meters, medical equipment and industrial automation. Therefore, the government has placed special emphasis on Indian intellectual property (IP), chip design, and research, alongside manufacturing. He stated, "The approval of Semicon 2.0 (₹1,27,500 crore) and the mobile phone manufacturing scheme (₹62,500 crore) by the Union Cabinet, under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, marks a historic step for India's electronics and semiconductor ecosystem. I wholeheartedly welcome this decision. The provisions of the MPMS are particularly significant for the MSME sector, offering an additional 1.5% incentive for the domestic sourcing of key components and sub-assemblies and a 3% incentive for design and R&D. These measures steer the industry beyond mere assembly towards value-added manufacturing and the creation of Indian patents and brands." Additionally, Mitesh Lokwani, who is also the Chairman of the ELCINA IT Product SIG and President of LUB- adds, "The six pillars of Semicon 2.0, chip design; domestic manufacturing of machinery, materials, and chemicals; fabs; ATMP/OSAT packaging; R&D; and skill development, will open up new avenues for investment and employment in emerging electronics hubs like Madhya Pradesh. The target of achieving production worth approximately ₹39 lakh crore and creating 60,000 direct jobs over five years will further strengthen the resolve for an 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (Self-Reliant India)." He said, "If India achieves global leadership in chip design and IP creation, it will transform from merely a manufacturing hub into an innovation hub in the coming years. This will form the true foundation of a developed India." He stated, "As a vertically integrated electronics manufacturer based in Bhopal's IT Park, HLBS Tech and the entire local MSME industry are committed to leveraging these schemes and contributing to the nation's technological sovereignty." Uma Sharma, a senior industry representative, remarks, "Today, technological self-reliance has become the foremost prerequisite for economic self-reliance. These decisions by the Modi government will carve a distinct identity for India in the global technological landscape and expand high-quality employment opportunities, particularly for women and the youth." What has the Modi government done in this direction so far? ●2014: Launch of the 'Make in India' campaign Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the 'Make in India' campaign in September 2014. Its objective was to transform India into a global manufacturing hub, attract foreign investment and boost domestic production in strategic sectors, including electronics. This campaign laid the foundation for today's mobile and semiconductor missions. ● Unprecedented growth in electronics manufacturing since 2014-15 As a result of 'Make in India', electronics manufacturing in the country increased nearly sevenfold after the 2014-15fiscal year, while electronics exports recorded an elevenfold increase. The electronics sector emerged as a major source of employment for youth in rural and semi-urban areas. ● India became the world's second-largest mobile manufacturer Driven by government policies and an industry-friendly environment, India has now become the world's second-largest mobile phone manufacturer. Currently, 99.2 percent of mobile phones used in the country are manufactured within India. ● Year 2020: Implementation of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme The Production Linked Incentive scheme for Mobile Phones and Large-Scale Electronics Manufacturing (PLI-LSEM) was launched.

Explainer: E20- From Green Revolution to Green Fuel: How E20 is Powering India's Journey to Energy Independence Just as the Green Revolution liberated India from hunger, ethanol blending could prove to be a historic step steering the nation toward energy self-reliance Dr. Mayank Chaturvedi The period of 1965–66 is counted among the most difficult chapters in Indian history; the country's population was growing rapidly, yet agricultural yields were insufficient to feed every citizen. India had to import wheat from the United States under the PL-480scheme. Waiting for grain shipments arriving on foreign vessels was a compulsion of the times. Back then, few could have imagined that, a few decades later, this very India would rank among the world's largest food grain producers and export grain to numerous other nations. The question arises: did this transformation come about through a miracle? Certainly not; it was achieved through hard work and scientific diligence. Years of scientific research, visionary policies and the toil of farmers lay behind it. Today, India is once again undergoing a similar phase of transformation. The only difference is that the challenge this time concerns energy needs rather than food. The country's current scenario mirrors its past dependence on foreign nations for food grains. Even today, India must import approximately 88percent of its crude oil to meet its energy requirements. Consequently, whenever crude oil prices rise in the international market, it directly impacts India's economy, foreign exchange reserves, and the pockets of the common citizen. In this context, E20, petrol blended with 20 percent ethanol, represents the initial phase of a long journey toward energy self-reliance; a journey that holds the potential to transform the nation's economic and strategic standing in the years to come. The unfortunate reality is that an initiative which ought to be understood within its broader national context is becoming a subject of controversy due to incomplete information and misleading claims circulating on social media. Instances where new initiatives faced opposition but were vindicated by time The history of India's development journey reveals that almost every major transformation began amidst skepticism and opposition. When the Green Revolution was launched, many experts expressed apprehensions that the new seed varieties and chemical fertilizers would harm Indian agriculture. At the inception of the White Revolution, it was claimed that organized milk production in villages would not be feasible. When the digital payment system was introduced, many dismissed it as impractical; yet today, India operates the world's largest digital payment network. Similarly, various concerns are being raised regarding ethanol-blended petrol. Some claim it is harmful to older vehicles, others label it as fuel that damages engines, and some attempt to dismiss it merely as a government experiment; however, a look at the facts and scientific studies presents a completely different picture. E20: Not an Experiment, but the Result of 25 Years of Meticulous Preparation It is often propagated that India suddenly decided to blend 20percent ethanol into petrol; however, the reality is that work in this direction began as early as 2001. Initially, ethanol blending was tested on a limited scale. It took the form of a formal program in 2004, and by 2006, fuel with a five percent blend became available in several states. Even then, the government did not rush the process. For nearly two decades, continuous efforts were made to increase production capacity, conduct scientific trials, consult with automobile companies, establish new distilleries and integrate farmers into ethanol production. The National Policy on Biofuels (2018) and the E20 Roadmap (2021) marked significant milestones in this entire process. In essence, the decision that people today perceive as a sudden policy implementation is actually the outcome of approximately twenty-five years of preparation, investments worth thousands of crores of rupees and the collaborative efforts of thousands of scientists, engineers, agricultural experts and the industry. Why Has Energy Security Become a National Necessity? Today, India is among the world's fastest-growing economies. Industries, vehicles and road networks are expanding, and the demand for energy is steadily rising; however, this growth brings a major challenge: the import of crude oil. The country purchases the majority of its crude oil requirements from abroad. This means that whether there is a conflict in West Asia, a disruption in global supplies, or a spike in oil prices in the international market, India is directly affected. This is precisely why energy self-reliance has now become a matter of national security. This is where the importance of initiatives like E20becomes evident. If 20 percent of petrol requirements can be met through ethanol produced from India's farms, dependence on foreign oil will gradually decrease. This will save foreign exchange, provide farmers with a new market, and ensure that a significant portion of the energy supply is generated domestically. The transition from 'Annadata' to 'Urjadata' Indeed, it is a matter of satisfaction that India's farmers have been feeding the nation for decades. Now, for the first time, they are also being made key participants in the energy economy. Ethanol, produced from sugarcane, maize, rice and other agricultural sources, is emerging as a new avenue for farmers' income. This transformation represents an effort to link rural India with the country's energy security. Just as the Green Revolution made farmers the heroes of food grain production, the Ethanol Mission is making them partners in energy production as well. The Need for a Scientific Perspective Beyond the Noise of Social Media Today, social media has become the primary source of information, yet it can also be the greatest source of misconceptions. An individual's personal experience cannot represent the reality of the entire nation. Public policy is evaluated based on scientific tests, institutional studies and comprehensive data. A similar approach is required regarding E20. Instead of viewing it merely as a political debate or a social media trend, it must be understood as part of India's long-term energy policy. Just as the results of the Green Revolution did not manifest overnight, this journey towards energy self-reliance also demands patience, scientific thinking and sustained investment. Does E20 Damage Older Vehicles? The primary concern raised regarding E20 is that it might damage the engines of older vehicles. Numerous videos and messages circulating on social media claim that ethanol harms engines, rubber hoses and fuel systems; however, when these claims are weighed against scientific tests and actual data, a different picture emerges. According to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, extensive testing covering over 40,000 kilometers was conducted prior to the implementation of E20. These tests examined various aspects, including engine performance, rubber components, fuel lines, metal corrosion, emissions, fuel efficiency, and durability. The automobile industry, research institutions and oil companies actively participated in these trials. Moreover, during the servicing of millions of vehicles, no evidence was found of engine failures or widespread technical issues attributable to E20. Had this fuel been truly damaging on a large scale, vehicle manufacturers would have faced millions of warranty claims, and the entire automobile industry would have plunged into a severe crisis. That did not happen. This underscores the importance of distinguishing between anecdotal experience and scientific findings. The Question of Mileage The second major argument concerning E20relates to mileage. The government itself acknowledges that mileage in some vehicles may drop by three to five percent; however, can a fuel be evaluated solely on the basis of mileage? Ethanol has a higher octane rating, which leads to better combustion, enhanced anti-knock capability, improved engine efficiency and reduced pollution. As vehicle manufacturers design engines with E20in mind in the future, performance is likely to improve further. Therefore, viewing E20 solely through the lens of mileage would mean overlooking its broader benefits. Why hasn't the price of petrol dropped? It is entirely natural for the average citizen to ask why the price of petrol has not decreased despite the blending of 20percent ethanol. In reality, the notion that ethanol is always cheaper than petrol is not entirely accurate. In India, ethanol is procured under a policy designed to ensure fair prices for farmers. Various costs, such as transportation, storage, quality testing, and taxes, are associated with it; consequently, in many situations, its actual cost can equal or even exceed that of petrol. Moreover, the objective of E20 is not to make petrol cheaper; its primary aim is to shield India from the volatility of the international oil market. If a significant portion of petrol requirements is met through domestically produced ethanol, the impact of global crises on India will be relatively mitigated. This constitutes the core economic rationale behind the policy. Why wasn't an option for pure petrol retained? Many also ask why pure petrol is not made available to those who do not wish to use E20. At first glance, this suggestion appears simple, but implementing it in practice is extremely difficult. India has over a hundred thousand petrol pumps, along with vast pipeline networks, refineries, terminals and depots. If separate arrangements had to be made for pure petrol, E10, and E20 at every location, the costs of storage, transportation, and distribution would multiply. Ultimately, this would place an additional financial burden on the consumer; therefore, the government considers a uniform fuel supply system to be more practical. A new foundation for farmers' income One of the major achievements of the E20initiative is that it has linked the agricultural and energy sectors. For years, farmers were viewed solely as producers of food grains, sugarcane or other crops; now, however, those very crops are helping to meet the nation's energy needs. According to the government, approximately ₹1.66lakh crore has been paid to farmers so far through the ethanol blending program. This is undoubtedly a new model for integrating the rural economy with the energy sector. The future expansion of biofuel-based industries will also create new opportunities for employment and investment in rural areas. Saving Foreign Exchange and Environmental Benefits India imports approximately 88.5 percent of its crude oil requirements. Every year, a massive amount of foreign exchange, running into lakhs of crores of rupees, is spent on this. The Ethanol Blending Programme is an effort to gradually reduce this dependence. According to government data, this programme has resulted in foreign exchange savings of approximately ₹1.97 lakh crore to date. Additionally, domestic ethanol has substituted the import of 316 lakh metric tonnes of crude oil, and carbon dioxide emissions have been reduced by approximately 952 lakh metric tonnes. At a time when the entire world is grappling with the challenge of climate change, this initiative by India is also considered significant in the move towards clean energy. The Next Chapter of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' India's development journey demonstrates that no major achievement is attained overnight. It took years for the Green Revolution to make the country self-reliant in food grains. It took decades for the White Revolution to make India the world's largest milk producer. The digital revolution, too, did not succeed overnight. The E20 initiative should be viewed in this same context. It marks the initial phase of a long journey towards an energy-independent India. In the coming years, alongside ethanol, biofuels, green hydrogen, compressed biogas, electric mobility, and other indigenous energy sources will collectively reshape India's energy landscape. A Need for Foresight, Not Misconceptions Raising questions about any new policy is a natural part of the democratic process; however, answers to those questions should be sought based on facts, scientific studies, and national interests. The same approach needs to be adopted regarding E20. Just as India once demonstrated to the world that it could achieve self-reliance in food grains despite limited resources, today it is striving to chart a new path towards self-reliance in the energy sector. If this journey achieves its intended goal, history will remember E20 in the coming years as the opening chapter of India's energy revolutiona revolution that, while ensuring farms remained sources of food, also transformed them into a robust foundation for the nation's energy security.

Conspiracy to push youth towards radicalization at the behest of foreign handlers: NIA busts terror module in Andhra Pradesh From social media to 'Ghazwa-e-Hind': How the NIA is dismantling the networks of India's enemies one by one! It began with a conversation on a mobile phone screen and a virtual identity created on social media, evolving into a network groomed under the instructions of foreign handlers with the aim of challenging India's internal security. However, the vigilance of the nation's security agencies, particularly the National Investigation Agency (NIA), exposed this conspiracy in time. Through this, the NIA has made it clear over the past few years that terrorism is no longer merely a matter of cross-border infiltration for India; it is challenging national security in various forms, including through social media, encrypted messaging platforms and online radicalization. In fact, the NIA's recent raid in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, linked to a case involving alleged Islamic jihadi terror connections, is part of a broader campaign in which the agency is systematically exposing terror modules, their financial sources, digital networks and foreign contacts across the country. Clue to a major terror network uncovered in Vijayawada On Wednesday, an NIA team conducted a raid in the Vinchipeta area of Vijayawada to gather further evidence related to the case. According to officials, the investigation aims to identify the individuals and organizations connected to the arrested accused and to determine the true extent of the network's reach. So far, those arrested in this case include Vijayawada residents Mohammed Rahmatullah Shariff, MD Danish and Mirza Sohail Baig; Hyderabad resident Saida Begum; and Abdul Salam from Bellary, Karnataka. Investigative agencies allege that all of them were involved in a conspiracy to expand terror activities in India and were acting on instructions from foreign handlers. Module Being Formed at the Behest of a Foreign Handler Interrogation revealed that the accused had come into contact with a foreign terrorist handler, Al-Hakim Shukur, via social media. They admitted that while they never met him in person, they maintained constant communication through Instagram, Telegram, and other digital platforms. According to the NIA investigation, acting on Shukur's instructions, the accused were cultivating ties with Al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) and ISIS and had long been working to expand the activities of both organizations within India. Their objective was to grow the networks of these organizations in the country and recruit new members. Youth Being Targeted via 'Al-Malik Islamic Youth' Investigative agencies reported that the accused had formed a group named 'Al-Malik Islamic Youth.' During preliminary questioning, they admitted to harboring radical views previously, but their mindset became increasingly extreme after coming into contact with the foreign handler. A particularly alarming aspect was the group's attempt to influence young people via social media and push them toward radicalization. The investigation also uncovered efforts to incite youth to carry out suicide attacks and to recruit them into terrorist organizations. Plan to Establish a Separate Wing for Women The investigation further revealed that the organization was preparing to set up a separate wing for women, with the responsibility to be entrusted to 'Saida Begum.' The aim of this wing was to increase female recruitment and ensure women played a role in the organization's expansion. Additionally, there were plans to train recruits in the use of sniper rifles and other weaponry, as well as in the fabrication of black powder bombs and IEDs. Radicalization Spread Under the Guise of the 'Ghazwa-e-Hind' Concept During interrogation, the accused allegedly admitted that they were operating under the influence of the 'Ghazwa-e-Hind' ideology. Investigative agencies allege that their stated objective was to challenge India's constitutional order and expand the influence of terrorist organizations. The investigation also revealed plans such as hoisting the ISIS flag in place of the Indian Tricolour. While they were striving to establish an Islamic state in India, they also believed that Sharia law should be implemented in the country. The investigation into these allegations is now proceeding through the judicial process. Social Media Emerges as the Primary Weapon The most concerning aspect of this entire case is that social media, rather than traditional training camps or cross-border infiltration, became the most effective medium for this network. Through platforms like Instagram, Telegram and other encrypted services, the group reached out to young people, influenced them ideologically and gradually attempted to steer them toward radicalization. Network Dismantled Through Counter-Intelligence Vigilance This module was exposed by the Andhra Pradesh Counter-Intelligence unit while monitoring social media activities. Following the detection of suspicious activities, the police arrested Rahmatullah Sharif, Danish, and Sohail Baig. As the scope of the investigation expanded, the case was handed over to the NIA. Reports indicate that the FIR names a total of 12accused individuals linked to various states, including Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Delhi, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Maharashtra and West Bengal. Cases have been registered against them under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the Information Technology Act. NIA's Strategy: Dismantling the Entire Network, Not Just Arrests The NIA's modus operandi extends beyond merely arresting the accused; the agency aims to investigate the entire network layer by layer. This process involves identifying foreign handlers, conducting forensic examinations of digital devices analyzing financial transactions, scrutinizing encrypted chats, monitoring social media activities and identifying potential associates. Thanks to this strategy, modules linked to terrorist organizations such as ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and others, active across various states, have been successfully dismantled in a timely manner over the past few years. NIA's Actions Over the Past Year: Where Were Suspected Terrorists Apprehended? Over the last year, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken sustained action across numerous states, including Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, , Chhattisgarh, Assam, Manipur, and Kerala. These actions addressed cases involving terror modules, terror financing, espionage networks, Maoist organizations and banned groups such as ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Babbar Khalsa International. Based on available public information, the highest number of arrests has been made in Jammu & Kashmir. The primary reason for this is that the highest number of investigations concerning cross-border terrorist activities, Overground Workers (OGWs), arms smuggling, terror financing and infiltration are conducted in this region. Significant action has also been taken against active modules in Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and certain states in South India. Recent actions by the NIA indicate that the agency is no longer merely a body that investigates incidents after they occur; instead, it is playing an active role in thwarting terrorist plots at their nascent stage through intelligence gathering, digital analysis and inter-state coordination. Whether dealing with networks that radicalize youth via social media, modules operating under the direction of foreign handlers, or covert terror financing chains, the NIA’s operations consistently aim to connect these dots, track down India's adversaries, and bring them to justice. This is why the NIA is today counted among the most critical and decisive investigative agencies in India's fight against terrorism.

Islamist Extremism and the Targeting of Sikhs: Major Incidents of Violence from 2016–2026 Followers of Guru Nanak Facing Persecution in Many Countries, Including Pakistan On June 24, 2026, 'Gurdwara Singh Sabha', a historic monument approximately 125 years old located in Farooqabad, Sheikhupura district, Pakistan, was completely demolished by alleged Islamic jihadists. This site bore witness to the 'Singh Sabha Movement,' which drove reforms within the Sikh faith and fostered a new era of progress. The movement played a pivotal role in the late 19th century by addressing issues regarding Sikh scriptures, tackling social evils and spreading the light of education. Farooqabad, formerly known as Chuharkana, is situated near Nankana Sahib, the birthplace of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Following the Partition, the complex was used in 1960 to rehabilitate refugees arriving from Bharat. This recent incident has sparked widespread concern regarding the preservation of Sikh religious and cultural heritage. History bears witness to the many arduous phases the Sikh community has endured. From the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and the invasions of Ahmad Shah Abdali to the horrific riots during the 1947Partition of India, the community has faced immense challenges; yet, even in modern times, incidents of attacks, vandalism and violence against Sikh individuals, Gurdwaras and religious sites continue to occur across various countries. A timeline of such major incidents between 2016 and 2026raises a troubling question: why is the Sikh community being subjected to violent attacks in places where they have been living peacefully? Just days earlier, on June 17, 2026, a ‘sevadar’ named Jagannath and his wife, Asma Vanti, were shot dead inside a Gurdwara in the Babu Mohalla area of Mardan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. On October 16, 2025, a video surfaced showing the assault of a Sikh youth in Maharashtra's Beed district. The video went viral on social media, depicting a brutal attack on the young Sikh man by Muslim extremists. It is alleged that during the incident, the youth's turban was removed and he was publicly beaten and threatened. This event sparked widespread reactions across social media and within society. On October 3, 2025, an attack took place at the home of a Gurdwara ‘Granthi’ in Punjab following a dispute involving children. According to the victim, Manpreet Singh, several individuals, including one Sabib Khan, forced their way into his home. Triggered by a quarrel between young schoolchildren, a Muslim mob, including tempo driver Sabib Khan, stormed the ‘Granthi's’ residence and launched an assault. Members of the mob struck the ‘Granthi’ in the stomach with a shovel and subjected the women of the household to vile verbal abuse. Similarly, on April 13, 2025, a young man of Pakistani origin was accused of allegedly behaving inappropriately inside a Gurudwara in Germany. He had also shared a post under the name "ABDALI" on the social media platform TikTok, prompting the local administration to take cognizance of the matter. On January 21, 2025, the shop of a Sikh shopkeeper in the Sultanpur Patti area of Kashipur, Uttarakhand, was attacked. According to the victim, his turban was also knocked off. It is reported that some Muslim women were also involved in the attacks. On December 22, 2024, a young man named Faiz attacked a Sikh individual with a knife following a road dispute in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Faiz, a Muslim youth, had been stopped for riding his bike at high speed; angered by this, he launched a violent attack. A Muslim mob attacked a Sikh family with stones, injuring six people. A heavy police force was deployed to the scene to handle the situation. As tension escalated in the area, incidents of stone-pelting occurred, resulting in injuries to six members of a Sikh family. A large police contingent was deployed to bring the situation under control. On June 24, 2024, Manmohan Singh, a Sikh shopkeeper, was shot dead by unidentified motorcycle-borne assailants in the Yakatoot area of Peshawar, Pakistan. Following the incident, various Sikh organizations demanded that the safety of minorities in Pakistan be ensured. On May 15, 2024, an incident involving an attack on Jeevandeep Singh in the Talapara area of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, came to light. The police arrested Raja Khan, Nafees, and two other accused individuals. The incident sparked a discussion regarding fears of violence based on religious identity. On July 1, 2023, an incident occurred at a Gurudwara in Sukkur, Sindh province, Pakistan, where individuals forcibly entered the premises, disrupted a religious ceremony and caused a dispute regarding the sanctity of the Guru Granth Sahib. Pakistan's National Commission for Minorities also expressed concern over this incident. In another similar incident on June 18, 2022, the Karte Parwan Gurdwara in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, was attacked with bombs and weapons. Two Sikh devotees lost their lives and several others were injured in the attack. Subsequently, armed assailants stormed the Gurdwara and opened fire. This incident was condemned worldwide. On April 28, 2022, a dispute arose regarding the 'Guru ki Sarai' Gurdwara in Rajpura, Patiala district, Punjab. The local Sikh community alleged that the Gurdwara's property had been encroached upon and converted into a mosque. They claimed that a Sikh family had been looking after the site since before the Partition but was later intimidated and forced to leave. On October 8, 2021, terrorists shot dead Supinder Kaur, a Sikh headmistress, inside a government school in the Eidgah area of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. This incident shook the entire nation. The Sikh community held a peaceful march demanding justice and appealed for measures to ensure the safety of minorities. On May 27, 2020, an incident of vandalism occurred at the Gurdwara Arjan Dev Ji in Derby, United Kingdom. Assailants damaged the main entrance of the Gurdwara and left a threatening message on the wall. Following the incident, local Sikh organizations demanded that the administration enhance security and take strict action against the perpetrators. In April 2016, an explosion occurred during a wedding ceremony at the Nanaksar Satsang Sabha Gurdwara in the German city of Essen. Several devotees, including an elderly Sikh ‘Granthi’, were critically injured in the attack. Police arrested two youths; one of the accused, identified as Yusuf T., was alleged to have links with a Jihadi Islamic extremist organization. This incident raised concerns regarding the security of Sikh religious sites in Europe. On January 21, 2023, a Sikh family was attacked in Nankana Sahib, Pakistan, following a dispute over parking. During this attack, Harvinder Singh and Satinder Singh were assaulted and their turbans were desecrated. The police registered an FIR against Mazan Gogi, Asif Nanna, Khor Shahi, Salman, Iqbal, Anwar, Saidi Bibi, and Zubada Zaidi. These incidents make it evident that acts of violence, vandalism and targeted attacks against individuals from the Sikh community, Gurdwaras and religious sites are frequently occurring in various countries. Ensuring an impartial investigation into each such incident, taking legal action against the perpetrators and guaranteeing the safety of all religious communities is a fundamental responsibility of any democratic system. Religious freedom, mutual respect and equal adherence to the law are the most effective means to prevent the recurrence of such incidents; however, in all these common occurrences, the perpetrators belong to a specific community, namely, followers of Islam, suggesting an intense hatred towards non-Muslims and an unwillingness to abide by any laws regarding non-Muslims in their respective countries. At present, no international voices are being heard on this issue, all NGOs are silent.

Beyond Trade: How the India–Japan Partnership Is Reshaping Asia A New India-Japan Partnership: Preparing to Reshape Asia's Future! - Bilateral trade worth $27.5 billion - Dr. Mayank Chaturvedi The world is currently navigating a period marked by an energy crisis, war, supply chain disruptions and shifting geopolitical equations. Against this backdrop, India and Japan have decided to deepen their cooperation, placing energy security at the core, thereby steering their 'Special Strategic and Global Partnership' in a new direction. Significantly, this partnership has emerged at a time when energy security has become the most critical foundation of any nation's economic security. Indeed, a joint statement issued following bilateral talks in New Delhi between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi indicates that India and Japan will play an increasingly decisive role in shaping Asia's energy landscape, economy and strategic balance in the coming years. Both nations have agreed to collaborate in areas such as strategic oil reserves, global energy markets, maritime transport, institutional cooperation and energy investments in third countries. x.com/BJP4India/stat… Shared Support for Energy Security It is noteworthy that India and Japan rank among the world's largest energy importers. The economies of both nations rely on the uninterrupted supply of oil and gas. Consequently, India's Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) have reached an agreement to strengthen strategic petroleum reserve systems, enhance coordination during supply crises and exchange information regarding global energy markets. Commenting on this, Mitesh Lokwani, Managing Director of HLBC and Chairman of the IT Products Committee at the Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA), says, “The two nations will no longer limit themselves merely to energy procurement; under this new dynamic, they will collaborate on strategic oil reserves, coordination with oil-producing nations, maritime energy transport, mitigating market price volatility, joint investments in third countries and securing energy supply chains. Institutions such as Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited (ISPRL), Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC) and the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) will operationalize this cooperation.” Mitesh Lokwani added, “In today’s world, materials hold immense significance; China currently dominates the rare-earth sector, so it is natural to expect that these new trade ties between India and Japan will lead to innovative solutions in this area. While Taiwan already plays a role and India has previously entered into several technical agreements with it, Japan’s distinct strength lies in its ability to delve deeply into any subject. Conducting R&D and in-depth analysis is intrinsic to its nature and India will naturally benefit from this approach.” x.com/shashwatgoenka… He stated, "India is currently moving towards self-reliance in semiconductors and related materials and Japan is set to play a crucial role in this, just as it has in the past. I recall how Japanese companies entered the market after the 1980s, expanding into the automotive and electronics sectors; that expansion proved highly beneficial for India. Indian engineers effectively utilized Japanese technology, adding new dimensions to its quality through their own innovations. We have now entered the era of printed electronics, a field where Japan is already technologically advanced, so it is natural that these new agreements will yield significant technological benefits for India." Adding to this, Om Prakash Gupta, National General Secretary of Laghu Udyog Bharati, notes, "Any agreement with Japan will undoubtedly open up new employment opportunities across various sectors. However, we must ensure that the benefits are not confined solely to large industrial conglomerates and their associated companies. The point is that the advantages should not be limited to companies affiliated with major bodies like FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM, or FIEO; they must also reach small-scale industries." While he acknowledges that small industries will benefit indirectly, he emphasizes the need to focus on how they can derive direct economic benefits from the Government of India's agreements with Japan. After all, small industrial units remain the largest source of employment in the country today. Omprakash Gupta further notes that there is a keen interest in new technology within the small-scale industry sector; naturally, those who need it will appreciate its value and quickly deliver results in this area. It also seems essential for the Government of India to formulate an effective plan to ensure that new technology from Japan reaches these small industries. For now, most Indians are enthusiastic about this new agreement. x.com/_TheTathya/sta… India-Japan Partnership Rests on a Historic Cultural Foundation Professor S.K. Singh, an Economics professor at Jiwaji University, views India-Japan relations through a cultural lens. He states, "Its roots lie in cultural ties dating back nearly 1,500 years, to when Buddhism traveled from India to Japan. Over time, this cultural bond has evolved into a partnership spanning economic, technological and strategic domains. In the changing global landscape, Japan views India not merely as a vast market, but as a trusted democratic ally and a key pillar of stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Conversely, India regards Japan as a technological powerhouse whose collaboration can propel significant strides in manufacturing, infrastructure and high-tech sectors." Trade Has Grown, Yet an Imbalance Persists Professor S.K. Singh adds, "Data from the past five years indicates that economic ties between India and Japan have steadily strengthened. Total bilateral trade between the two nations stood at US$ 15.33 billion in 2020-21 and rose to approximately US$ 25.15 billion by 2024-25. During this period, India's imports from Japan increased from US$ 10.90 billion to US$ 18.90 billion, while its exports grew from US$ 4.43 billion to approximately US$ 6.25 billion. In other words, while there was significant growth in trade, the trade deficit also continued to widen because the pace of imports outstripped that of exports." He noted, "At first glance, this situation might appear concerning for India, but from a broader economic perspective, the picture is different. Imports from Japan primarily consist of machinery, state-of-the-art equipment, automotive technology, and industrial products, all of which bolster India's industrialization and manufacturing capabilities. Thus, this trade serves not merely as a channel for consumption but as a means to enhance production capacity." He adds, “During the 2025-26 fiscal year, total bilateral trade between India and Japan stood at approximately $27.5 billion (specifically between $27.47 billion and $27.48 billion). The 'Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA)' between India and Japan has significantly boosted these ties. Japan is one of India's largest foreign investors. The two nations have recently signed around 120 new business agreements, aiming to attract over $10 billion in Japanese investment into India in the near future.” x.com/SauravK1890/st… India’s real gains begin where the trade deficit ends Relying solely on the trade balance would present an incomplete picture. The reality is that Japan is among India's key development partners. Since the year 2000, Japan has invested approximately $45-$48 billion in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in India. Japanese investments in sectors such as automobiles, electronics, industrial corridors, semiconductors, clean energy, artificial intelligence, and logistics are continuously strengthening India's manufacturing capabilities. Most importantly, Japanese investment brings with it cutting-edge technology, quality-driven production systems, global management expertise and the potential for millions of jobs. This is why, despite the trade deficit, most economic experts view the India-Japan relationship as being in India's long-term interest. Japan’s strong role in India’s growth momentum Today, whenever India's modern infrastructure is discussed, Japan's role is clearly evident. Projects such as the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail, the Delhi Metro, the Mumbai Metro, metro projects in Chennai, Bengaluru and other major cities, the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor and numerous urban development initiatives are progressing with Japanese assistance. Japan's Official Development Assistance (ODA) is particularly significant for India because it is available at extremely low interest rates and with long repayment periods. This alleviates the financial burden on India while developing infrastructure. This is the reason why Japan is called India's most trusted development partner. The Relationship Between Technology and Security to Advance Through the New Energy Partnership The new energy partnership extends well beyond oil and gas. Both nations are moving to enhance cooperation in green energy, hydrogen, semiconductors, digital technology, artificial intelligence and critical mineral supply chains. Furthermore, they share a largely aligned strategic vision regarding the strengthening of secure maritime routes, free trade and a rules-based order in the Indo-Pacific region. The active participation of India and Japan in forums like the Quad demonstrates that they are not merely economic collaborators but partners sharing a common strategic outlook. Joint military exercises, defense technology, cybersecurity and maritime cooperation will further strengthen this relationship in the future. x.com/justtweettz/st… A Strong Partnership Requires Balance While relations between the two nations are scaling new heights, certain challenges remain. Japan’s stringent quality standards, non-tariff barriers and technical regulations continue to pose significant hurdles for Indian agricultural, food and pharmaceutical products. Consequently, both countries have agreed to review the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Greater access to the Japanese market for Indian products could gradually reduce the trade imbalance. The new energy partnership is also viewed as a significant step in this direction, as it will provide fresh momentum to trust, investment and industrial cooperation between the two nations.

x.com/DandiSwami/sta…

The Hindenburg Report was a conspiracy to tarnish the image of India's industrial sector using the Adani Group as a pretext Targeting Adani, Challenging India? Reassessing the Hindenburg Narrative in Light of New Developments - Dr. Mayank Chaturvedi Competition has become a crucial tool in the global economy today. When serious international allegations are leveled against the largest industrial conglomerate of a rapidly emerging economy, the impact is felt not only by the company itself but also by the country with which it is directly associated. Consequently, the nation's investment image, financial credibility and industrial reputation are all affected. In fact, the controversy involving the Adani Group and the US should be viewed from this perspective. Recent developments, specifically the US Department of Justice (DOJ) arguing against proceeding with its own lawsuit after reconsidering the legal grounds, jurisdiction and evidence, have given a new direction to this debate. It raises the suspicion that this entire episode might have been orchestrated solely to undermine the global image of India's rapidly rising economic power. Today, India ranks among the world's fastest-growing major economies. However, this success is not accidental; whether it is the goal of becoming a five-trillion-dollar economy, the resolve for an 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', or strides toward becoming a global manufacturing hub, a closer look reveals the extraordinary contribution of the country's major industrial groups behind all these achievements. These industrial conglomerates serve as the strongest pillars of India's economic strength, employment generation, innovation, exports and infrastructure. Reliance Industries has recorded a record annual turnover of approximately ₹11.75 lakh crore for the 2025-26 financial year. The Adani Group's consolidated turnover has reached the level of approximately ₹2.92lakh crore. The Aditya Birla Group's global turnover exceeds $65billion. HCL Technologies' annual revenue surpasses ₹1 lakh crore, while the Tata Group's global business spans several lakh crore rupees. The O.P. Jindal Group is elevating the country's industrial capabilities to new heights in the steel, energy and infrastructure sectors. Many such examples of Indian companies can be cited. In essence, these figures not only symbolize corporate success but also attest to the economic strength that has earned India a new identity in the global economy. The international narrative that emerged following the Hindenburg report triggered temporary volatility in the Indian stock market and sparked various apprehensions among global investors. These international discussions impacted the Adani Group's market valuation; the capital of millions of investors was affected and attempts were made to question India's corporate governance standards, yet subsequent developments revealed another side of the story. Investigations by Indian regulatory bodies, the process conducted under the Supreme Court's supervision and now the serious legal questions raised by the US Department of Justice regarding its own case suggest that the initial allegations, which became the subject of global discourse, were not entirely beyond dispute. When the prosecution itself begins to reconsider the legal robustness of its case, it is natural to ask: did the initial narrative inflict undue damage on India's industrial image? It is important to understand that India's major industrialists are not merely profit-driven businesspeople; they are also the country's largest job creators, taxpayers and investors. Groups such as Reliance, Tata, Adani, Birla, Jindal and HCL sustain the livelihoods of millions, both directly and indirectly. These companies contribute thousands of crores of rupees in taxes to the government annually, thereby fueling initiatives in education, healthcare, rural development, infrastructure and social welfare. These industrial groups are also making massive investments in sectors critical to the future, such as ports, airports, highways, metro networks, energy projects, digital connectivity, telecommunications, green energy, data centers, artificial intelligence, and semiconductors. If India is moving towards becoming a pivotal hub in the global supply chain, the long-term investment capacity and risk-taking courage of these industrialists play a crucial role. Global investors do not view a single company in isolation; they assess the entire nation's policies, regulatory framework and business environment. Consequently, if a negative narrative is created internationally against one of India's major industrial groups, it inevitably impacts foreign investment, the stock market, capital flows and India's economic credibility. Today, India has evolved beyond being merely a vast consumer market to become a rising global hub for manufacturing, innovation and investment. Indian industrial groups are competing globally in sectors such as green energy, digital technology, artificial intelligence, defense manufacturing, semiconductors, logistics and modern infrastructure. This is why Indian companies are investing in numerous countries worldwide, propelling India towards global economic leadership. At such a juncture, any allegations leveled against an Indian industrial group must be evaluated based on facts, the law and judicial processes, rather than on prejudices or international propaganda. If, at a later stage, investigative agencies themselves appear to be reconsidering their initial stance on a matter, it becomes essential to evaluate the entire sequence of events in light of the new facts. This is because a blow to the reputation of a single industrial group is not merely confined to a corporate dispute; it leaves far-reaching consequences. Naturally, the impact of such episodes is felt across India's economic image, the global investment climate and even the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat'. That is why the country's wealth creators must be evaluated impartially, based on facts, transparency and due judicial process, since, in the Indian context, their success forms a crucial foundation for the nation's economic strength, global standing, and future prosperity. Now that the US Department of Justice has acknowledged it is reconsidering the legal basis and jurisdiction of its lawsuit, every Indian should strive to bring the full truth to light. This is not just about the Adani Group; in reality, this was a global conspiracy to tarnish the image of India's industrial sector. Establishing this fact is vital for strengthening India economically in the future.

Shankaracharya Sadanand Saraswati Leads Sanatan Revival Across Gujarat’s Tribal Heartland of Dang Walking the Path of Faith: Shankaracharya's Mission Rekindles Sanatan Consciousness in Gujarat's Dang Region - Dr. Mayank Chaturvedi The Dang region of Gujarat, the very land of Shabari, stands today at a significant historical juncture. It is the sacred ground where, in the Treta Yuga, Bhagwan Vishnu (in the form of Shri Ram) granted a direct audience to His devoted follower, Shabari, a place where devotion transcended all boundaries to draw the Divine to one's very doorstep. The character of Maa Shabari, as depicted in the Ramayana, embodies a unique stream of devotion; she engaged in years of unwavering spiritual practice (sadhana) solely to behold Shri Ram. Consequently, she stands as the supreme symbol of surrender, reverence and devotion for both ‘bhaktas’ (devotees) and ‘karmayogis’ (practitioners of selfless action). The present-day Dang region is linked to that very land of penance (tapobhumi) where Shabari awaited Bhagwan Shri Ram for years. When Bhagwan Shri Ram arrived here during His exile, Shabari lovingly offered Him ‘ber’ (jujube) fruits. In Indian culture, this episode symbolizes not merely a devotee's surrender to the Deity but also the Lord's profound affection and dedication toward His devotee. In the contemporary context, this narrative represents social harmony and the accessibility of the Divine to all. For this reason, the Dang region holds a place of immense sanctity within the Sanatan tradition. Shabari Dham, located here, remains a focal point of faith for millions of pilgrims, even though there have long been visible attempts to undermine this faith. Amidst this backdrop, in a region long known as a hub for the influence of churches and Christian missionary activities, efforts are now underway to once again raise high the banner of Sanatan Dharma. Spearheading this initiative is Swami Sadanand Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of Dwarka Sharda Peeth. Far removed from silver thrones, the decorum of monasteries and traditional grandeur, he has spent months traversing the rugged trails of these tribal regions. The chant "Bhagvati Bhiksham Dehi" echoing from their lips resounds across village after village. Accepting whatever was offered as ‘Prasad’, they moved on, carrying the message of ‘Sanatan Dharma’ to the next home, the next village and the next heart. Amidst the hills and forests of Dang, a story of spiritual awakening is unfolding today. Meanwhile, inspired by this movement, the spirit of “Sanatan Dharma” is spreading from Gujarat into numerous districts across Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha. x.com/rajesh8513/sta… Dang: A Long-Standing Arena of Ideological Contention It is noteworthy that Gujarat's Dang district is counted among the country's prominent tribal regions. Characterized by dense forests, hilly terrain and remote villages, this area has long seen the active presence of various religious groups, particularly church-backed social organizations. For decades, there has been discourse regarding the work undertaken by Christian missionaries in the fields of education, health and social service; however, religious conversion, allegedly occurring under this guise, has also emerged as a major issue here. Meanwhile, Hindu organizations maintain that the region's indigenous cultural identity must be preserved. Against this backdrop, Dang has become a focal point for significant cultural and religious discourse. When the Shankaracharya Left the Throne to Walk the Village Paths Typically, the image of a Shankaracharya is associated with monasteries, religious ceremonies and the preservation of Vedic traditions. However, the scene unfolding in Dang is quite different. Swami Sadanand Saraswati has been touring villages on foot for months, establishing direct dialogue with tribal families. Sitting among villagers, listening to their grievances and sharing meals in their homes are the defining features of this campaign. x.com/DandiSwami/sta… According to locals, the sight of the Shankaracharya himself sitting in a humble village home and sharing a meal leaves a profound impact on people's minds. They view him, a repository of knowledge and the standard-bearer of Sanatan Dharma, as an ideal; his visits to their villages are seen as an act that sanctifies the very land. 'Bhagvati Bhiksham Dehi': Awakening Public Connection The most talked-about aspect of this entire campaign is the Shankaracharya's lifestyle. During his tour, he visits villages and interacts with households in a simple manner, accepting whatever is offered to him as ‘Prasad’. He then acquaints the people with the significance of religion, culture and Indian traditions. Indeed, this approach evokes the ancient stream of the Indian ascetic tradition, wherein a saint lived among the people and provided them with guidance. x.com/BablieVG/statu… Taking the Message of Sanatan Dharma to Every Home The extent of the Church's conversion network is vast and efforts are being made to protect the tribal community by raising awareness among them. In this context, the views of Swami Nijanand Giri, who is actively working to integrate tribal populations from Chhota Udepur and surrounding areas into the mainstream of Sanatan Dharma and foster their socio-economic development, are highly significant. He stated, "If you travel from the Tankhaladang area of Naswadi Taluka in Chhota Udepur, Gujarat, to the remote tribal regions, you will find that representatives of the Church are everywhere, attempting to convert our tribal people through various inducements, offers of assistance and monetary temptations. They possess immense financial power and are engaged in misleading simple, trusting tribals in various ways. On the other hand, we are striving to serve these tribal brethren to the best of our ability using limited resources and the support received from the local Hindu community." The young ascetic Swami Nijanand Giri says, "I am a disciple of the late Padma Bhushan Swami Satyamitranand Giri Ji Maharaj, the founder of Bharat Mata Mandir in Haridwar and the former Shankaracharya. Inspired by him, I dedicated myself to serving Sanatan Dharma and working for the welfare of the Hindu community and our tribal brethren. Subsequently, I began receiving inspiration, guidance and support in this mission from Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, the head of Dwarka Sharada Peeth and I continue to receive his support to this day." x.com/DandiSwami/sta… The Church’s deceptive door-to-door campaign: Luring families with promises of quality education, clothing and food! He said, “It is a result of this support that we are running a ‘Vidyapeeth’ for 160 children in this forest region and providing comprehensive educational facilities, along with hostel accommodation- to over 1,300 tribal children from the surrounding areas. Yet, there remains a vast number of children we ought to reach, but cannot due to our limited resources. In contrast, Christian missionary organizations, backed by local and foreign funding, manage to reach everywhere. They offer all manner of inducements, taking children from their homes under the guise of providing education, clothing and food. Consequently, despite our desire to intervene, we are often unable to do so. Eventually, many of these children grow up to return as pastors, fathers, nuns, catechists, evangelists, mother superiors, sisters, deacons and the like!” Swami Nijanand Giri observes, “By this stage, they have become completely severed from their own religion, traditions and social systems. The sacred forests, the abodes of their deities, no longer hold any allure for them; instead, their allegiance shifts to the Vatican City. Naturally, they become uprooted from their origins. Often, the effort required to reconnect them- or keep them connected- to their roots proves futile. The only real solution is to prevent these children from falling into the hands of these missionaries and the Church in the first place. Unfortunately, that is not currently possible, and that is what saddens us.” Shankaracharya and 'Dharma Jagran': A Beacon of Hope for Us According to Nijanand Giri, a ray of hope has emerged in the form of Swami Sadanand Saraswati Maharaj, the Shankaracharya of Dwarka Sharada Peeth. Through his efforts and inspiration, people in rural areas are being introduced to various facets of Indian culture via religious rituals, ‘satsangs’, ‘kathas’ and collective events; the "Dharma Jagran" initiative is providing full support in this endeavor. Efforts to renovate temples and revive religious activities in numerous villages are currently underway with the assistance of "Dharma Jagran", an initiative that local residents view as a cultural renaissance. x.com/DandiSwami/sta… 5,200 Villages Across 14Districts; 8 Lakh People Converted to Christianity When Dharmesh Mehta, the Gujarat state coordinator for "Dharma Jagran," was consulted on this matter, he provided detailed information regarding the situation in this region of Gujarat, specifically concerning conversions linked to the Church. He states, "This region comprises 5,200 tribal villages spread across 14districts and approximately 8 lakh people have converted to Christianity. Many of them are 'crypto-Christians' [individuals who practice Christianity secretly while outwardly maintaining their original identity] and their entire way of life has changed. A number of these individuals have also secured government jobs; in such a scenario, keeping the tribal community connected to its original roots is a formidable challenge." Dharmesh Mehta explains, “Christian missionaries are operating here through three distinct faces. The first involves priests, nuns, and pastors who directly approach tribal communities to persuade them to convert to Christianity. The second group operates by assuming a deceptive guise, much like the mythological figure 'Putana'- approaching people under the pretexts of education, social service and healthcare to facilitate conversions. The third face of the so-called church manifests across the region as superstition; people are told that keeping a specific handkerchief in their home will bring wealth, ward off illness and ensure a happy life.” x.com/rajesh8513/sta… NGOs Spreading a Web of Conversion Under the Guise of Government Services He also highlights the role of church-backed NGOs, stating, “Many NGOs are active across these 14districts and the majority are affiliated with the church. They facilitate access to government benefits for tribal members, handling tasks like obtaining Aadhaar cards and filling out application forms, but then leverage this to encourage them to visit the church and listen to stories about Jesus. Essentially, you can see that psychological influence and pressure are being exerted on the local tribal community from every angle to make them seek refuge in Jesus and convert to Christianity.” He adds, “Even if a tribal individual does not openly declare their conversion to Christianity, the missionaries strive to turn them into 'crypto-Christians', people who practice the faith covertly. Amidst the various initiatives for religious awakening taking place here, the support received from Dwarkasharada Peethadheeshwar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj, through his 'Dharma Yajna', has been unprecedented. He is doing his utmost to rekindle the spirit of Sanatan Dharma in the region.” Why is this ‘Dharma Yajna’ significant? While the history of independent India has witnessed numerous religious pilgrimages and social campaigns, the sight of a Shankaracharya working at the grassroots level, having lived in a tribal region for an extended period, has become a subject of special fascination for the people. Many view his active presence, spanning from Dang to remote areas of Jharkhand and other states, as an effort towards cultural preservation and awakening. x.com/DeepakJainTinu… In this context, one is reminded that it was once the patient waiting of Maa Shabari that inspired Bhagwan Shri Ram to visit this very land. Today, an effort to reawaken ‘Sanatan’ consciousness is once again visible on this same soil. Amidst the chant of "Bhagvati Bhiksham Dehi" echoing through the hills of Dang, the message of ‘Sanatan’ reaching tribal settlements, the rekindling of lamps in temples and the vision of expanding Shabari Dham, a new narrative is taking shape here. Only time will tell the extent of this campaign's impact; however, for now, it can certainly be said that a Shankaracharya has personally traversed these rugged paths to keep the flame of ‘Sanatan’ burning bright on the land of Shabari.

Great Nicobar vs. Congress: The China Question Returns - Is the Congress party's alleged nexus with China hindering the progress of the ‘Great Nicobar Project’? - Dr. Mayank Chaturvedi India currently stands at a juncture where economic development, national security and strategic strength have become mutually reinforcing. Amidst rising geopolitical competition in the Indo-Pacific region, the ‘Great Nicobar Project’ is regarded as one of India's most critical strategic initiatives. However, even as this project is hailed as the cornerstone of the nation's maritime future, persistent questions raised by the Congress party and associated groups have sparked a fresh debate. The question arises: is this merely a matter of concern for environmental and tribal interests or is there a broader political agenda at play? Furthermore, are allegations regarding the Congress party's past ties with China intensifying this debate? Congress leaders, including Jairam Ramesh, party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, have been writing a barrage of letters to the central government and are registering their opposition wherever possible. Why is the Great Nicobar Project so significant? In this context, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Lieutenant Governor DK Joshi recently stated that the most crucial component of the ‘Great Nicobar Project’ is the International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT). It will have an initial capacity to handle approximately 6million TEUs of cargo, a figure that could rise to 21million TEUs in the final phase. Being constructed at a cost of around ₹20,000crore, this port will be situated near the Strait of Malacca, a maritime route through which a significant portion of global trade passes. Consequently, the project’s importance for India extends far beyond mere economic interests; it is also considered vital from a strategic perspective. China’s Challenge in the Indo-Pacific and India’s Strategy Over the past decade, China has steadily expanded its presence in the Indian Ocean region. From Sri Lanka’s Hambantota port to Pakistan’s Gwadar port, China has developed numerous maritime outposts under its ‘String of Pearls’ strategy. In this context, the Great Nicobar project could provide India with a robust strategic foothold in the Indo-Pacific region. Defense expert and retired Lieutenant General Manik Kumar Das notes that, alongside attracting global trade, this port would indirectly bolster Indian naval capabilities. This is precisely why it is being hailed as a ‘game-changer’ project. Congress’s Opposition and Emerging Questions The Congress party and various associated environmental groups have voiced serious concerns regarding this project. They argue that it could harm the island's biodiversity and adversely affect the interests of local tribal communities. Raising such questions is both natural and essential in a democracy. However, a closer examination suggests that the Congress party's opposition extends beyond environmental issues. It is evident that the party has highlighted only the negative aspects while ignoring the project's positive facets, thereby creating confusion surrounding an initiative of national importance. Why is there talk about Congress’s ties with China? Questions regarding the Congress party's opposition to the ‘Great Nicobar project’ also arise due to several controversies surrounding the party's relationship with China in recent years. If this project is successfully completed and implemented, the country most likely to suffer a setback is China. Could this be an indirect move by the Congress to shield China and secure economic benefits for it? In fact, this suspicion regarding the Congress arises primarily because the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Congress and the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 2008sparked significant debate and the party has faced accusations of being pro-China on multiple occasions since then. It is worth noting that the full details of the agreement reached between the Congress leadership and the CPC at the time were never made public. Subsequently, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and other critics raised numerous questions about it. While the Congress may now argue that dialogue and agreements between political parties are standard practice in international politics, how can the visible facts be denied? Rajiv Gandhi Foundation Controversy The ‘Rajiv Gandhi Foundation’ has also been at the center of another controversy linked to China. Various reports revealed that the Foundation had received financial support from the Chinese Embassy. This issue gained greater political significance following the Galwan clash. Opposition parties termed it a case of conflict of interest, whereas the Congress dismissed the allegations as being politically motivated. Despite this, the issue remains a part of political discourse to this day. Can the Congress still maintain that the ‘Rajiv Gandhi Foundation’ did not receive any financial assistance from the Chinese Embassy? The Doklam Dispute and Rahul Gandhi’s Meeting The meeting between Rahul Gandhi and the Chinese ambassador during the 2017 Doklam standoff also sparked widespread discussion. At the time, the Congress party described it as a routine diplomatic exchange. However, critics questioned why the meeting, held amidst heightened border tensions, had not been disclosed publicly beforehand. This incident further fueled the debate regarding the Congress party's stance on China; notably, the party and its leaders initially denied that any such meeting had taken place, only to acknowledge it after information surfaced through media reports. Does the Great Nicobar Project Pose a Challenge to China? Many defense experts now believe that if the ‘Great Nicobar Project’ is developed to its full potential, India will gain significant advantages in maritime trade and strategic influence. Currently, a large portion of India's transshipment trade relies on foreign ports, particularly Singapore and Colombo. The ‘Great Nicobar Port’ could reduce this dependency. Furthermore, a strong Indian presence near the Strait of Malacca would facilitate the monitoring of Chinese maritime activities. For this reason, the project is viewed not merely as an economic venture but as an investment linked to national security. Is Politics Placed Above National Interests? This is the question arising in the minds of many today. The Congress party is being asked why it persists with a political strategy of opposing any major project initiated by the central government. If an initiative is moving in the right direction, it should be welcomed with an open mind. After all, the ‘Great Nicobar Project’ is emerging as a significant symbol of India's economic and strategic ambitions. Through this project, the country could take a major step toward strengthening its position in the Indo-Pacific region. In this context, what appears most essential is that discussions regarding projects of national importance prioritize facts, transparency and national interest over politics. The people of India also expect the country to move forward by striking a balance among development, security and the environment.
