@maybebbplease First of all, someone has to ASK for critique before you give it Then, besides the fundamentals like grammar, sentence structure or even pacing Some things become relevant to taste & you can just leave your opinion and say “plzplzplzplzplz” rather than try to correct

@maybebbplease js is low key annoying bc it doesnt always have consistent behavior but its def one of the easier languages to pick up especially if youre not biased by other ones! as with anything else creative finding the right way to execute your ideas is the hardest part :)

oh god no not at all i have an incredibly useless film degree and a masters in creative writing 💀 i really wish tho! i find it so incredibly interesting -- i love languages and it's just another language! but i cannot stress enough that everything i do on ao3 (1/3)

like you'd be surprised how many of your fav authors/tv writers/etc. write fic to blow off steam. and NOT just the ones who are trying to file the serial numbers off their fics to publish the next alch*mised or 50 shades.

concrit is a learned skill (and genuinely a p difficult one -- not everyone can help make a work better) and if i'm looking for it i can go to my writing group or an actual editor. but i'm not looking for it in fanfic, bc i write fanfic for fun!! as an escape!! as many of us do
