The overreaction to Rodri's interview is baffling.
Most of it misses the most important thing he said, it's at the end of this sentence
"I have to admit that the Premier League is my weakness,” said Rodri, who is 30 in June. “I think it’s a thrilling league but at the same time very demanding, meaning it pushes you to the limit. I’ve been there for seven years now, and I’m noticing the passage of time, but for the moment I’m very happy there."
And subsequently "I have a year left on my contract, obviously there will be a point where we’ll have to sit down and talk, have a conversation."
I saw all the reactions before I read the interview, I thought he'd said "I fucking hate Manchester, City are shit and I can't wait to play for Real Madrid".
FFS I'm going to put the amount of vitriol down to having fuck all to talk about or get arsed about because it's the international break.
We are fighting for an FA Cup spot, we have an outside chance of winning the league and many of our fans have been slagging off possibly one of the most important players in the run in, who still has a year left on his contract.
Have a word willya.
He's 'very happy here' and with a year left on his contract it is obvious there will be a point where and the club have to "sit down and talk".
