@mayflowercaleb Hey there! Turns outs I'm a descendent of George Soule. At least if the reporting from this site. Lucile Lupton was my great grandmother. Pretty cool I think :)

@CCCJennaD He was born about 1636, the son of Jonathan and Elizabeth Bosworth of Rehoboth, and grandson of Edward and Mary Bosworth. The Bosworths appear to have come to America about 1633. A good source is Robert C. Anderson, “Great Migration Begins”, vol 1, pgs. 187-191.

@mayflowercaleb I was wondering if you happened to know where John Howland's son-in-law Jonathan Bosworth came from as I don't see his name on the Mayflower passenger list?

"Wednesday the sixth of September, the wind coming east northeast, a fine small gale, we loosed from Plymouth, having been kindly entertained and courteously used by divers friends there dwelling ..." And so 400 years ago today (adj for 10 day calendar diff) the crossing began.

I am pleased to announce that our findings on the English origins of Mayflower passenger Isaac Allerton have been published. Find them in New England Historical and Genealogical Register 173(Summer 2019):197-205. Son of Bartholomew and Mary Allerton of East Bergholt, Suffolk.

@RebeccaSiegel14 I think it is unlikely the Pilgrims were carrying printing press components. Theirs in Leiden was confiscated in 1619, and distributing printed works into England from America would have been impractical.

@mayflowercaleb hello Mr Johnson. I read there was a documentary filmed in England in and around Upper Clatford. The All Saints Church noted you were there. Can you share the name of the film? Would love to see it! Thank you!

@MoPubs Thanks very much, link fixed. I have met some Brewster-surnamed descendants. Looking at BrewsterFamily.org, for example, I see the VP is Stewart Brewster.
