We thank the Suburban Building Officials Conference for inviting us to speak at their recent luncheon on the stretch codes and other advanced building policies. The Caucus and @MEEAee appreciated the questions and feedback, and the opportunity to connect with code officials.

The Caucus opposes the proposed reduction to the Local Government Distributive Fund (LGDF) formula rate from 6.47 percent to 6.28 percent of individual income tax revenues distributed to local governments. Find out more: bit.ly/4tM97X7

@RecycleCoachApp teamed up with the @ILEPA to help residents understand recycling guidelines. Today, 47 Caucus communities have the Recycle Coach widget on their websites, allowing residents to find What Goes Where, collection schedules, and to explore educational content.

Municipalities, townships, counties and local governments in ComEd's service territory are eligible to apply for competitive grants up to $10,000. Not-for-profit organizations may also be eligible if they partner with at least one municipality or government institution.

Previous grants awarded include a range of projects including traffic and pedestrian safety equipment, fire or police equipment, electric vehicles and charging stations, automated external defibrillators, and emergency weather sirens.

The @MayorsCaucus is proud to once again partner with @ComEd to administer the Powering Safe Communities program, providing grants of up to $10,000 for local public safety and clean transportation projects. Applications are now open through March 13, 2026.

We’ve awarded 10 more Low-Income Energy Efficiency Outreach & Engagement grants, bringing the total funding to $756,000 for 33 organizations. Grants support #EnergyEfficiency education and reduce household energy burden in the ComEd territory. Learn more: bit.ly/49fNXZr
