After restoring power to 60,000 customers impacted by this week’s storm, our Distribution Operations and Fleet team shifted gears to serve the community. Vice President Vito Martino and his team volunteered with @ILfoodbank for #NationalVolunteerMonth, packing 10,025 pounds of food, or about 205 meals per volunteer to help provide more than 8,404 meals for households in need.

We were proud to host this season’s second resource fair in the Greater Chatham community, engaging with hundreds of families and connecting them to the full suite of ComEd customer programs designed to help ease energy burden. Through education focused breakout sessions and direct support, customers learned how to manage energy use, save money, and access assistance programs for their households. Our President and CEO, Gil Quiniones continued our #NationalVolunteerMonnth efforts by hosting volunteers at @NightMinistry overnight youth shelter. Volunteers toured the youth shelter and outreach bus before assembling more than 500 hygiene kits that will be distributed during outreach efforts. Our visit continues our over three-decades long partnership, while championing our 2026 cause of the year, supporting and advocating for those experiencing homelessness.

Since last night, our crews have worked non-stop to restore power to 99% of the more than 61,000 customers affected by Monday's storm. @ComEd @arborday I've planted between 20 & 30 trees on our little lot & !/2. And I have a Fig tree that has spent the winter on my table near the east window waiting to be planted outside when it gets warm enough.

We celebrated Arbor Day's 154th anniversary by partnering with @arborday and more than 50 local communities to plant trees that help beautify & enhance green spaces. We also visited local schools to educate students about tree planting & how our arborists manage vegetation. 🧵 ½
