Today, flags at City facilities were lowered to half staff in honor of the three heroic San Diegans we lost yesterday at the Islamic Center of San Diego. Our entire city is mourning, and our hearts are with the victims, families, and our Muslim community.

Hate has no home in San Diego. We stand completely united with our Muslim neighbors against Islamophobia and this senseless act of violence. My full statement:
