But the original exchange is already corny.. love shouldn't have been used at all to start with, not when 5 minutes earlier he was referring to Ian thinking of TJ all the time.. Feelings yes, but not love.. and Ian shown getting emotional while answering was odd.

Its purely a translation error. YW never said the word 'loved' in Kor; it was completely added out of thin air. I emailed them but the Taiwanese translation team insisted it 'flows better.' Yes, they literally add 'I loved u' for the sake of fluency n refuse to change. #WetSand

@suri931723 Ofc he couldn’t sustain it. What he had with Jo was built on him trying to convince himself it could work — and that kind of self-deception doesn’t last. In that context, being honest and ending it directly was actually the right and fair thing to do.

In this case, Ian falls clearly into the latter. As long as Ian's brain is functioning normally, he’s going to remember ppl from his past, but it changes nothing. He is incredibly grounded and happy with TJ, and that’s exactly where his heart is staying. 🥰

That is why their love story is so beautiful and heart wrenching. They didn't let go of each other because there wasn't love, but because they both loved and treasured each other so much and knew it was best to let each other go. I totally agree. The earrings are clearly precious to him, which is why he kept them safe. I just find it interesting that the 'removal' itself could have been a safety thing rather than a loss of love. He was just waiting for the right moment to put his heart back on.

@mayyourdayy Honestly, both things could be true at the same time. The earrings mean so much to YW and everything that transpired made YW take off the earrings and necklace, but once he healed and rekindled his love with TJ, he was ready to put them back on.
