My uncle took me in when I got my first job after NYSC. Said I'd have someone to talk to at night. Six months later I was gone. It started with a shoe. His wife was late. All his children grown, married, with kids of their own. He lived alone with just a house help. When I reached out he didn't hesitate. Said come, the house is open. I moved in the weekend before my resumption date. He showed me the room I'd be staying in. Said I should move the clothes and items in there to another room to make space. So I started packing and shifting things. That's when I found it.
