Does anybody else wish they could work on a renovation project with their spouse and still love each other after? ❤️ 🔨 We captured this sweet moment between Mr. and Mrs. Hawkins while they were working on some roof repairs at the Museum. 🥰

Thanksgiving is always a special time to gather 'round the dinner table and socialize with friends & family. This weekend is all about grateful hearts, full plates, and cherished moments. The Museum is CLOSED Monday to allow our staff and volunteers time with their families. 💙

The weather has been beautiful for some Fall projects! 🍂 Shoutout to Mike for spending a sunny day repairing a roof at the Museum! ☀️

Over the weekend, we had a small group of volunteers help out with our annual 'Wood Cutting Bee and Work Day'! 🪓 🪵We ended up with 51 totes of wood to utilize for next year's events at the museum! Shoutout to everyone who came out and braved the wind. 🧡

🚜 Artifact OTW 🚜 L. D. Sawyer Portable Steam Engine This portable steam engine was produced by the L. D. Sawyer Company of Hamilton, Ontario who was an early Canadian manufacturer of farm machinery such as threshing machines, tread mills, horsepowers, grain drills, and more.

We have now transitioned to our Winter Hours. ❄️ As of right now, group visits on weekends can only be offered with advance notice, (dependent on volunteer availability.) Winter Closures: Thanksgiving (Oct 14th) Christmas (Dec 24 to Jan 6) Good Friday (Apr 18th)

A new pop-up exhibit, 'Versed in Country Things...An Abandoned Farmyard' is an exhibit based on a favourite Robert Frost poem. Artifacts bring out a new conversation about nature's responsibility - or not - towards humankind! From October 20th -26th from 1:00pm-4:00pm.

The Katrime station is an example of the CNoP’s Standard Freight and Passenger Shelter, plan 100-41. Some alterations have occurred over the years, most notably the removal of a window in the freight end of the building. Learn more about this artifact: mbagmuseum.ca/artifact/katri…

🚜 Artifact OTW: Katrime Freight + Passenger Shelter This small railway station was originally located on the CNR rail line from Portage to Gladstone. This rail line was built in 1910 as joint effort between the CAN Northern Pacific railway and the Northern Pacific and MB railway
