Everything is going to work out. Rates get cut. Deficit improves. Key countries bend the knee. More is manufactured in the US. Blue collar is cool again. You just wait.

This IS a very good summary. In the real world, these decisions are not easy. It's good to see Sheila not backing off from putting #ESG centrally in the mix, isn't it @EarthAccounting @JimBair62221006 @KHayhoe @ProfStrachan @MichaelEMann
NZASAP Climate Solutions Advocacy@nzasap3

When you look like you belong in the #CSuite, and talk their language, you have the highest chance of #Impact. This is a #MasterClass on its subject, Sheila. A solid reason why #Extractive firms should #Affiliate to the unique #NZASAP #WorkplaceClimateAmbassadorScheme.

I do have a few frustrations with LinkedIn. There is no way to create lists, feeds, or starter packs on curated topics. The search function is really poor. And there is a moderate amount of climate denial there, which when you report it, they do nothing. But the quality of discussion there is generally very good, I find!

I’ve been on Twitter since 2009. Until Oct 2022, my account steadily grew. Since converting to X, my engagement tanked, trolls soared, and account started shrinking. Now, as of this week, X is no longer my biggest platform: and that gap will just continue to grow. See you there - or on Bluesky!

There's a clever notion known as #Othering, where A and B #Bond over a #CommonDislike of C. There's 80m for one man and 8 billion of us altogether. The 99% are coming together in ways unimagined even a few months ago. #Decency and #Humanity must prevail.

Stanford ENERGY
Stanford ENERGY@StanfordEnergy·
Stanford ENERGY newsletter is out The week that was: 1. Electricity crisis?; 2. Geothermal energy erupts; 3. Restoring our atmosphere; 4. U.S. energy security; 5. Hydrogen takes on diesel 1. Energy leaders search for solutions to critical U.S. electricity challenges Rising electricity use is normally very welcome, reflecting economic growth, but it could overwhelm the United States’ sclerotic power grid. Stanford assembled a large, bipartisan, and diverse group of energy policy experts to take on this problem. 2. The future of geothermal energy for reliable clean electricity Electricity generated using natural underground heat could become cost competitive with power from the grid by 2027 using enhanced geothermal systems, although care is still needed to address earthquake risks, researchers found. 3. A vision of hope for climate solutions Climate scientist Rob Jackson and philosopher Leif Wenar discussed challenges, ambitions, and moral implications of restoring the atmosphere in a recent Dean’s Lecture Series event. 4. U.S. energy security: How we got here and where we are headed (video) Daniel Yergin explains how American energy innovation reshaped global power dynamics and exposed tensions between energy transition and economic growth. 5. Making diesel go extinct Stanford and Berkeley alumni want their hydrogen startup, Verne, to send diesel the way of the dinosaur. And, yes, the spinout is named after the science fiction writer. Plus, all the Stanford Energy events in the coming week... Australia has been brooding for years about its dependency on America for security and China for prosperity. That angst may just stand Australia in good stead in a lonelier, harsher world. An edition of The Telegram reported from Sydney, Canberra and Perth economist.com/international/…

What good is wealth if the world is unlivable? This image says it all: A father offers his child a bag of money, but the child needs an oxygen tank to survive in a barren, destroyed world. This is the harsh reality of climate change..... driven by greed, exploitation, and profit-centered industries that leave future generations with disaster. Floods, droughts, and pollution are rising, yet some choose profit over the planet. Wealth means nothing without a healthy Earth. The future we leave behind matters more than the profits we chase. #ClimateCrisis #ActNow @AbiluTangwa @Greenisamissio1
