Superintendent Contessa Orr announced at the March board meeting that Ms. Rachel Baker has been selected to take the Child Nutrition Director position (formally known as Food Services Director) beginning July 1. Congratulations, Ms. Baker!

It's National Breakfast Week and we are so thankful for our amazing cafeteria staff at each of our schools!

There is an Open House for Young Artist Showcase (3-6pm) at Thistle Cottage that happened today and will again tomorrow. Artwork will be on display all month from nearly 250 student artists (K-8) from Muhlenberg County. Come check out their amazing work!!

Our board amended the current school calendar at last night’s meeting. May 22 is now the make-up snow day from February 6 and last day for students.

Happening Saturday, February 14, at Muhlenberg County High School...

Due to many roads still being hazardous for school buses, Muhlenberg County Schools will not be in session tomorrow, Feb 2. The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. This will be NTI Day #7. Families are encouraged to contact teachers if they need help.

Muhlenberg County Schools will not be in session for January 29th, and January 30th. This will be NTI day number 5 & 6. If you have any questions or need assistance with coursework, please reach out to your students' teacher or school through Remind, Google Classroom, or email.

Muhlenberg County Public Schools will be closed January 26th, January 27th, and January 28, 2026. All games, practices, and extracurricular activities will be canceled as well. Monday will be a traditional snow day. Tuesday and Wednesday will be NTI days #3 and #4.

After closely monitoring weather forecasts and guidance from the National Weather Service, Muhlenberg County Schools is cancelling all school and district related events and travel, such as games, practices, meets, etc. for Saturday, January 24 & Sunday, January 25, 2026. Thanks
