Key. Selectors need to implement exactly the same selection parameters in every other similar situation to ensure players are clear, certain and treated equitably. If the selectors fail to do this it is a sure sign the policy should never have been implemented in the first place.

SELECTION DILEMMA #1; certainty and clarity promote confidence with players. When other players in the team see the best performing player being dropped then they know it also means their spot is in jeopardy regardless of how they perform. SELECTION DILEMMA #2; Consistency is
