@la_dorkout For those who've never been to California, the bottom pic looks like 90% of the nice HOAs in SoCal. If you weren't told the location this could easily be Carlsbad, Poway, Oceanside, Chula Vista or hundred other suburban neighborhoods in California.

One thing I love about "ET" is how it time-freezes the last gasp of subdivisions in LA's hills & Valley. I related to riding bikes with friends over graded terraces for homes, making jumps out of plywood. This intersection is at Beaufait & Darby in Porter Ranch (1982 vs. 2022).

@la_dorkout Totally. My parents looked at living here but it was still under construction so they went further up the coast (where my siblings and I ultimately grew up).

**Yes.** Since Jan 2025, ICE has arrested/removed multiple murderers and rapists from New York. Examples (from DHS/ICE releases): - Alfredo Giron (Dominican): convicted of murder in New York County; arrested by ICE Buffalo. - Luis Olmedo Quishpi-Poalasin (Ecuadorian): convictions for forcible rape, sexual abuse, and related crimes in Brooklyn; arrested by ICE NYC. - Juan Sumba-Duchi (Ecuadorian): attempted rape + assaults in NY; arrested upon prison release (May 2026). - Others include homicide charges (e.g., strangling a cab driver in Brewster) and corpse rape cases. NYT has covered broad ICE operations and stats but not given these individual criminal removals the same breaking-news prominence as the Khalil appeal story.

A dog failed his service dog exam, and was later seen at a train station carrying the reason why. People at the station couldn’t stop staring when the dog walked onto the train with a stuffed elephant held proudly in his mouth. At first, everyone thought it was part of his training. But his owner started laughing and explained the truth. The dog had been training to become a service dog, but during one of his final tests, he kept getting distracted by an elephant plushie nearby. Instead of staying focused, he tried to steal it like it was the only thing in the room that mattered. That was the moment he failed. But his owner said he couldn’t be mad. The dog had tried his best, and even if he wasn’t meant to be a service dog, he was still loyal, gentle, and full of love. So before they left, he bought him the elephant toy. That night, the dog didn’t pass the exam, but he still went home with the person who chose him anyway.

Mark Carney might be the most successful Prime Minister in Canadian history. No, that’s not a typo. No, my account hasn’t been hacked. No, it’s not April fools. And no, I’m not on crack. Mark Carney might be the most successful Prime Minister in Canadian history. If you measure him against his own objectives. See, in his first year as PM, I’ve thought he was doing a horrible job, because of what I was using to measure his performance. I thought his objectives would be things like balancing the budget, dealing with the debt, improving national security, keeping citizens of Canada safe, stopping illegal immigration, improving Canada-U.S. relations, stopping the exploding Jew hatred - things that would improve our country. So I thought he was one of the most unsuccessful Prime Ministers ever, one of the worst. But the I asked myself a question. What if I’m wrong? What if his objectives are nothing like what I assumed they would be, what mine would have been if I were PM? What if his objectives are to take Canada and enable it to be fully Islamified, to drive Jewish Canadians out of the country, to destroy Canada’s identity and align the country with the EU, to run up our debt to the point where our country can’t sustain itself, to allow for a mass casualty event the likes of which Canada has never seen? If the objectives I thought would be his aren’t, then I’ve been extremely unfair in my evaluation of him so far. And if that’s the case, he may very well end up being, the most successful Prime Minister of Canada ever. With a set of objectives that I doubt many Canadians voted for.
