Source tells me Saturday's game between @IndianaFever and @DallasWings averaged 2.49 million viewers on ABC. That's down slightly from last year's corresponding Fever-Sky game for the W's ABC opener which drew 2.7M viewers. Keep in mind: Last year's Fever-Sky game set a record for the most-viewed WNBA regular-season game across ESPN networks and was the most-viewed WNBA regular-season game in 25 years, since the era when NBC aired the WNBA. Suns-Mercury averaged 1.15M viewers. Blowout reduced that one for sure.

Three things
1. Historically, the Seattle Storm have been one of the best defensive teams in the W. No more. Sue Bird disgusted.
2. Unmentioned on Twitter – probably b/c she's universally liked – Saniya Rivers got crossed up bad by NY's hodgepodge of immigrants & UN delegates.
