Checks and balances are important, yes! but they’ve also become an excuse for doing nothing while problems pile up. At some point, someone has to take decisive actions.

Insider trading may be illegal, but as long as members of Congress can trade stocks with inside info the public doesn’t get, that loophole stays wide open.
