Alert: MCSO is currently investigating a motor vehicle accident on Macedon Center Road (31F) near Copper Beech Run. 31F is closed between Wakeman Road and Monroe-Wayne County Line Road. We are asking motorists to seek alternate routes.

This morning at Edison Tech, RPD and other first responders demonstrated a crash simulation showing the real dangers of distracted and impaired driving. One glance or a bad decision can change lives instantly. Stay focused. Make smart choices. Drive sober. Stay alert. Save lives.

In this situation, the offender's handgun malfunctioned and would not fire as he attempted to discharge it at the officer. Fortunately for him, the officer valued his life more than he valued the officer's life.
