@DeeOneAyekooto The elites are just pursuing self-interest, not people's interest. As Prof suggested, the elites must start to discuss the soft-side (not military action); declare emergency on poverty, provide food/shelter, pursue peace talk, resolve ancient conflicts

From Crash Site to Wedding Altar: Story of Courage, Destiny in Benue A remarkable story of courage, destiny, and transformation has emerged from Benue State, spanning two decades and highlighting the impact of a single brave act. On September 17, 2006, a Nigerian Army aircraft crashed over the Benue Valley, leaving uncertainty about the fate of those on board, including Major General Nuhu Bala Angbazo. In the critical moments that followed, help came from an unlikely source a 13-year-old boy from Mbakunu in Kwande Local Government Area. The boy, Detimbir Chia, though untrained and unprepared, demonstrated exceptional bravery. He was among the first villagers who rushed to the crash site on Ngokur Mountain. Notably, Chia stood out for his ability to operate a mobile handset at the time, which he used to call for help, contributing significantly to the rescue of the survivors, including General Angbazo. Another among the early responders was Vitalis Neji, who also joined other village youths in climbing the mountain to assist the injured officers. Deeply moved by the young boy’s courage, General Angbazo made a life-changing decision to support Chia’s future. That decision would alter the course of the boy’s life. Twenty years later, on April 4, 2026, that same boy, now Captain Detimbir Chia of the Nigerian Army, celebrated his wedding in a moment filled with symbolism and gratitude. Among the dignitaries present was General Angbazo, who stood in honour of the man whose life he had once entrusted to fate and bravery. In a further twist of destiny, Vitalis Neji the same village youth who participated in the rescue effort attended the ceremony, this time as Chairman of Kwande Local Government Area and Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Benue State. The event served as a powerful reminder of how small acts of courage can shape destinies. From a remote mountain rescue in 2006 to a distinguished military career and a celebratory wedding in 2026, Captain Chia’s journey reflects the enduring value of opportunity, mentorship, and faith. The inspiring story underscores a broader lesson: that seemingly ordinary moments and actions can have extraordinary consequences. The smoke from the 2006 crash of a Nigerian Army aircraft on Ngokur Mountain has long since cleared, but the echoes of that day reached a beautiful crescendo on April 4, 2026. What began as a tragedy in the Benue Valley transformed into a twenty-year odyssey of gratitude, proving that a single act of bravery can redefine the horizon of a life.

This man allegedly broke into my friend’s house in Ilara Mokin and stole several items, including the CCTV camera that captured this image. Fortunately, the picture was sent to my friend before the camera was taken. He is currently on the run. If anyone has any useful information that could help identify or locate him, it would be greatly appreciated. First image: from the CCTV camera. Second image: AI-enhanced version of the image.

It appears the Nigerian army has started issuing the DICON upgraded DG-103 rifles to frontline troops. DICON-D7G successfully assembled about 1000 units of the upgraded DG-103 rifle in two months of start of operations in Kaduna. The company is also producing drones and anti-drone systems equipped with early warning capabilities to support frontline troops.

My name is SEYILAW, and I am a STRONG SUPPORTER OF PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU GCFR. Your gaslighting ended in 2023 if you like wurugbon lori ahọn, that is your problem. Yes, my family is abroad. What will your father do about it? I am a failed comedian. Ehen! Enjoy what fuels the stupidity of your generation. I am doing it to get an appointment. Is that why you're supporting your own candidate, too, or are you just brain-dead? I can believe I once respected this one. Shove your respect up the innermost part of your grandfather's anus. BBL FACE, AMALA, TEMU SUWE, I wear these names proudly, and if you're not satisfied, look for a rope and hang. You're supporting Tinubu because of your tribe. How are you, a tribeless idiot feeling? I am a BIGOT. I am TRIBALISTIC. I will reap what I sow. Don't panic on my behalf. I am patiently waiting to harvest the yams I sowed, boil them, pound them and eat with Efo riro elemi meje. TINUBU TILL 2031.

Ladies and gentlemen, we must confront the reality of how much wealth we continue to lose to foreign markets. Money generated from our own taxpayers, money that should be used to develop Nigeria, is instead being sent abroad. This is why I continue to advocate for deliberate and targeted policies that guide market behavior. I am not referring to the market for five-year-old and older vehicles, the so-called Tokunbo vehicles, which the masses and much of the middle class rely on. That is not the issue or the market. In fact, I have proposed that tariffs on those vehicles, as well as on commercial vehicles, should not be increased, so ordinary Nigerians can continue to afford transportation and logistics. My focus is on government officials and members of the elite, the political and business class, who overwhelmingly prefer to buy brand-new foreign vehicles. That is where policy intervention should be directed. We must design incentives and tariffs that channel this purchasing power toward made-in-Nigeria vehicles. Doing so will conserve foreign exchange, create jobs, strengthen local industry, reinforce national pride, and ultimately build a stronger economy. The masses must clearly see how this policy works in their favor. What I am proposing is a significant increase in tariffs on brand-new vehicles up to five-year-old vehicles. These are not the cars purchased by ordinary Nigerians. They are bought by the elite, our political leaders and top business executives. In five to ten years, these affordable yet elegant, brand-new, made-in-Nigeria vehicles will enter the second-hand market. At that point, we will have a healthier used-car market, with cars selling for as low as the equivalent of 1,500 US dollars, making reliable transportation even more accessible to the middle class and masses.

Today, in line with the second pillar of the More Agenda, which is Opportunities for All, I presented 60- 2025 model of Toyota Landcruiser Prado Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and 5 Toyota Landcruiser SUV to our revered traditional rulers at Government House, Asaba. The gesture is to enable them carry out their functions with greater ease and convenience, bearing in mind that most of them operate in very rural and rugged terrain. It is also a demonstration of appreciation by our administration for their role in ensuring peace and stability in their kingdoms and by extension the state and the country. As a government, we are pleased with the support and cooperation of the traditional rulers in Delta State, reason being that, the peace we largely enjoy in this state is because of their cooperation and collaboration with the government and security agencies. At the ceremony, I thanked the Royal Fathers for their continuous prayers and support.
