March is National School Social Work Month! This month, we celebrate the incredible impact of our Madison County School District social workers — with recognition of our mental health therapists and behavior specialists, too!

Madison County Schools is pleased to announce that Sean Brewer will return to the district as Assistant Superintendent beginning May 1, 2026.

Transition Services will hold their Spring parent meeting on Tuesday, March 3 from 5:30PM - 7:30PM at the MCS Central Office! Many sponsors have signed up to speak to you, so save the date!

The Madison Central Madrigals sang for sites across the district today and will be presenting their 33rd annual Christmas in the Great Hall on December 6 at 4:00PM and 7:00PM! For more information, call 601-853-2047.

The Ridgeland High School All-Superior Choir shined in a beautiful Winter Concert held in collaboration with Rust College!

Congratulations to the Technology Integration Award recipients for the 1st Nine Weeks! The Technology Integration Award is proudly presented to one exceptional educator per zone each nine weeks, celebrating those who go above and beyond with innovative technology use.

Mannsdale Upper Elementary School 3rd grade teacher Kayla Saxton received the prestigious Milken Educator Award! She is the only recipient in the state this year and received $25,000 and a trip to Washington DC!

On Wednesday 10/29, Ridgeland High School broke ground on a new 8 classroom addition to the south end of the main building! Thanks to the RHS administration, staff, band, dance team, ROTC, and student government for hosting the Titan community for an awesome event!

Tuesday night, MCS Transition Special Services held an awesome event where organizations spoke to parents and students about transition opportunities available to them. We are so thankful for these organizations' service and support of MCS families!

Today, our principals took a break from their monthly meeting to give each other written messages of recognition and encouragement!

Last night, we held our second English Learners Exit Celebration at Ridgeland High School! Congratulations to these Titan zone students, parents, teachers, and administrators that were part of the largest group to exit the program!

MCS staff members take a photo with Emmy-nominated actor Ameer Baraka who shared his story at the Mississippi College Dyslexia Conference. MCS Dyslexia Coordinator, Kacey Matthews, was also a speaker at the conference.

The MCS Leadership Academy began meeting this week! This first cohort of MCS personnel will spend the year gaining the knowledge and skills essential for success as an Assistant Principal, while also engaging with various district departments through practical experiences.

Each month, the Madison Career and Technical Center celebrates a student in different subject areas. In August, Bryson Pegg was recognized for Automotive Service and Ethan Smith for Information Technology. During these times, the students are visited by community organizations.
