@md_hilwan Nope I'm not there, still in SG. I just did tech writing for a US client. Then they ask me to fill that form, and I saw the instructions that there's a flat 30% tax rate applied for non resident aliens 😂

I haven't filled any tax forms in my life before, so it came to me as a very big shock when I got a tax form called W-8BEN which I have to fill for a recent paid technical writing assignment — I have to pay a big fat 30% tax for a non-resident alien 😂 Big oof.
