Dear Fellow South African,   The recent violent protests and criminal acts directed at foreign nationals in parts of our country do not representthe views of South Africa’s people nor reflect our government’s policy.   🔗 tinyurl.com/5f4xh35j

South African🇿🇦 man from Giyani was chased from a march against foreigners that turned to be a Zulu's only march! Tsakisane says " I joined the march in Durban with my head held high. I sang the songs and walked alongside the crowd, thinking I was among brothers. I felt the same frustrations they did, and I believed we were standing together for our country. But the mood changed. The unity turned into a "purity test." They stopped the line and started pointing fingers. Because I am a Tsonga man from Giyani, my accent tripped me up. Because I couldn't respond perfectly in isiZulu, the very people I was marching with turned on me. "Kwe--rekw----ere!" they shouted. They didn't care or ask that I have a South African ID. The only password and rescue for me was to speak pure Zulu. They didn't care that I was born in Limpopo. They saw my dark skin and heard my Xitsonga tongue and decided I wasn't "South African enough." I was beaten by the same hands I had been shaking just minutes before. I had to run for my life from the very crowd I had joined. How did a march for our country turn into a hunt for our own Tsonga, Venda, and Shangaan brothers? When did our languages become a death sentence in our own streets? We are kill-ing ourselves from the inside. Says Tsakane.

Big moment for SA music! Black Coffee pulled up at Zakes Bantwini’s album listening session last night , proof that the two have finally put their differences aside. From dominating the early 2010s with unforgettable collabs to years of silence, it looks like the chapter of tension is closed and a new one is opening.

This is how Muvhango died, by bringing Zulu actors on a show that was supposed to be uniquely Venda...now we don't know know the difference between uzalo and #SkeemSaam same actors, same language, same boring story lines 🤧

Why do men stay quiet everytime GBV is being spoken about? Is it guilt? Is it because you once looked past your friend hitting his girl?forcing himself on a girl? That you looked past your friend being called out for rape? Why does this conversation make you guys so uncomfortable?
