@CFDevelop @ottomotton Context switching is the actual thing that is supposed to be avoided. Not task switching. You raise an excellent point that some equate context with task and then enforce “SINGLE JIRA TASK OR DIE”; which is counterproductive like you say.

@TeslaTravelstx @Tesla_AI @Tesla I would rather just drive instead of constantly worrying that the FSD was going to try and kill me at some random point. If it’s not 100% reliable. Then it’s more effort and stress to monitor something doing X than doing X yourself.

This might be my first true FSD critical disengagement in a LONG time but it’s definitely one that @Tesla_AI @Tesla should look into. Heading south on a divided road about to turn left across traffic into a target parking lot. FSD starts the turn and partway through sees a car. You can’t really see it in the video but it hammered the brakes on and off slowing us to a crawl in front of the oncoming car. I intervened with the gas pedal to get us out of the road but it honestly felt like it would have stopped. Tell me what you think.

@CarStan1114 @MarketPalmer_ I agree there’s a market for the right price. I don’t think there’s enough of a profit margin in comparison to the alternatives Tesla is perusing. It be awesome to be able to afford a minivan for carpool with a short range AND a vehicle for the rest of the driving.

@mdfrenchman @MarketPalmer_ You might have a valid point. Right now I think I minivan ranges between $55k to $85k, if they could make one in that price point. A lot of Mom runs are shorter distances, park in the garage every night for easy charging. Seems like a untapped market to me.

I have no idea why Tesla hasn't come out with a Tahoe-style SUV. Pair that with FSD and it would be one of the top-selling vehicles in the world.

@KalanisCalves If you made $100k as a therapist and now employ 10 therapists who all make 100k, you must be taking zero pay for yourself and zero overhead? What you pay in self employment taxes on the business side stays on the business side when you take on a w2 employee.

This is what our society fails to comprehend. If I work as a physical therapist, and I’m good, I’ll make $100,000/yr. And pay $15,000 in taxes. I can see 60 patients per week. But that’s the end of it. No additional tax money, no more patients can get my services. I provide a living for myself and my family. If I own a practice and employee 10 therapists that each make $100,000, now I’m providing a living for 10 families, and because of my efforts there is now $250,000 in tax revenue. So why should businesses get taxed more? Why should they even have to pay payroll taxes? My value to society is way more than 10X at this point. But the vast majority of Americans can’t comprehend that, neither do our congressional representatives.

@1RationalMan @cptdankkk It costs more than $1.50 to produce and serve that “meal”. Now whether a hotdog and soda is worth anything nutritionally; that’s a different argument.

Kevin O'Leary says most people waste $15,000 a year on stupid stuff like $5 coffees "Stop buying coffee for five dollars and fifty cents" "You go to work and you spend $15 bucks on a sandwich, what are you an idiot. It costs you 99 cents to make a sandwich at home and bring it with you" "Bring your own water, your own drink or your own coffee mug. You start to add that up every day it's a ton of money" "Most people starting on their job making their first $60,000 piss away about $15,000 a year"

@cptdankkk If you’re eating a hotdog and soda every day for lunch. You’re going to be paying the difference in increased medical bills over your life. That’s one way to slowly kill your self for the low price of $1.50/day! I love Costco, but a hotdog and soda is not a good daily meal.

@JEFFREYDAVISs @MarketPalmer_ Over design? Maybe. The build quality issues Tesla had for years is a counterpoint to “over engineer the hell out of it”.

@MarketPalmer_ When Tesla designs a car, they over engineer the hell out of it. This is why it takes them so much longer to make a new model than other car manufacturers. Twice as long in most cases. Teslas focus is Optimus right now, once they get robots building cars, expect to see new models

@Rdeuce80 @MarketPalmer_ Single person pods are likely the more effective transport. Most of the time. Problem is families buy vehicles for the most extreme of their use.

@MarketPalmer_ Too expensive nobody wants, or can afford a car that big. The sales would be too low (like S and X were) when Tesla wants to scale. There’s a reason cybercab is a two seater - 90% of passengers ride alone. This is also why the focus is on MY and M3

@CarStan1114 @MarketPalmer_ People that drive their own kids to school can’t afford the price they would sell that for. Just a guess based on the Lucid “SUV” that’s really a minivan.

Why isn't there a Tesla minivan? I've asked this for years. The Mom making multiple school and sports practice drop off and pick ups everyday, or that needs to accommodate multiple carseats needs a Tesla option. Elon is out here telling everybody they need to have more kids but isn't providing a vehicle for those who do.

@MarketPalmer_ The Tesla YL sold in China would probably fit the “midsize” Tahoe market on interior space. The “to many single drivers” rational companies use to not sell the extended versions in the U.S. is weird.

@theSaaSdemon @james406 Real question what happens when your three agents keep trying to use something that’s out of support, but refuses to go look up the new completely incompatible version? After 45 mins of frustration with getting results that were clearly old syntax. I went to the docs for 10 min

@MissJilianne It’s probably cheaper for non residents when you consider citizens pay taxes toward national parks (as we should).

Going from a $20/m subscription with a usage bar to a $20/m subscription with $20 worth of credits given to you in USD and not providing monthly rollover is a great way to get me to cancel my subscription If you want to keep usage in USD, offer rollover. If you don’t want to offer rollover, don’t show me a $$$$ amount

@FiredUpCoug As someone who used to have a dog. They are likely sorry. Also…they don’t know how to fix it so it might be easiest to just find other things to focus on. We paid to dog training and he was a good dog, but dogs do dog things regardless of training.

My neighbor’s two large dogs are pooping/peeing in my yard, and the urine is killing patches of our grass. We’ve already talked to their owner about it, but nothing has changed. Has anyone dealt with this successfully? Any advice to keep the dogs from doing this? Not trying to start a neighbor war, or do anything that will harm the dogs, I just trying to protect our lawn and stop cleaning up after dogs that aren’t ours.

@BikingForTrump @MAGAMAHACindy Problem; locations were 80% of the property owners aren’t only there 2 weeks out of the year. Downside; Far more difficult to plan and budget long term on a volatile income stream. It also disproportionately weights on the poor, they can’t afford to spend outside the local.

Hypothetically…….. We are being taxed on money we never made. Let that sink in. If I bought my property outright for $160,000 in 2009 Now the county says it’s worth $446,000. Did I sell it? No. Did I make a profit? No. Did I get a check for $446,000? No. But my taxes jumped like I did. That’s the problem. This isn’t income. This isn’t cash. This is a number someone decided on paper and now I’m being billed for it. If my stock portfolio doubles, I don’t pay taxes until I sell. If my income doesn’t increase, I don’t magically owe more income tax. So why does owning a home work differently? Why am I being taxed on unrealized gains? A house isn’t just an investment, it’s where people live. And this system means you can do everything right, pay off your home, and still get squeezed harder every year because of a number you never turned into money. You don’t truly own something if you can be taxed out of it. This isn’t about “services” or “inflation.” It’s about being charged for value you never received. It’s time people start to notice.
