@MD_MVA is teaming up with @MDSP for free motorcycle training classes.
Open to riders with valid motorcycles licenses and insurance.
Classes begin April 13th in Baltimore County.

Savoy was arrested and charged with 5 counts of attempted first-degree murder, 5 counts of attempted second-degree murder, 5 counts of first-degree assault, 3 counts of firearm use in a felony, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and possession of a stolen firearm.

Police identified the driver as Kendrick Lamont Savoy, 44, of Lothian, Maryland. Troopers from the @MDSP Homicide Unit, Highway Gun Crimes & Criminal Enforcement Division responded to the scene and conducted an authorized search of the vehicle. Two handguns were located.

At 2 p.m. yesterday, officers from @PGPDNews conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a Dodge Challenger, matching the description of the suspect vehicle involved in the three reported shootings. The traffic stop occurred in the 2300 block of Oxon Run Dr. in Temple Hills, MD.

Clarification: This morning's beltway closure was due to a call for service in the area in proximity to where the shootings had been reported. @MDSP troopers responded. The on-scene investigation determined that it was not a shooting nor related to the three incidents below.

There were no fatalities. Police believe all three incidents are related. Anyone with information relevant to this investigation is urged to contact police at the College Park Barrack at 301-345-3101. All calls may remain confidential.

The first incident occurred on MD Rt. 5 at Allentown Road last night at 10:35 pm. The second occurred on the ramp from north MD Rt. 5 to OL 495/95 at 10:47 pm last night. The third incident occurred this morning around 1:30 am on southbound 495/95 at Ardwick Ardmore Road.
