I couldn’t write a single essay in high school, anxiety crippled me the moment I sat down to write any of my thoughts. I didn’t even care if I’d write well, my mind just went blank I felt really confused and uncomfortable and would just stare at a blank paper for hours crying

I had a buddy in university who was genuinely smart, never missed a class, and would always be the first to participate. He never graduated because he was incapable of handing in any assignment. Could talk for hours on a reading, but would not write a single page and turn it in.

@kaiotei_ Oh really? Well, I thought it was something like that, pretty bad advice. There’s nothing you could do really if you were a safe person from the very beginning, it’s 100% on them to heal and change their ways.

I keep getting ads on how to reignite connection with an avoidant partner. Of course they don’t tell you what to do unless you pay, but among the things they tell you not to do is “setting boundaries” which is a pretty crazy take in any kind of relationship.
